Bush began his career with the Trojans of the University of Southern California in 2003 where he won the Heisman Trophy as well as many other awards. When he was injured, he retired on July 27th that year. His last game was against the Carolina Panthers on December 24th, 2016. Bush didn’t sign with any team for the 2017 season but he is still working as a reporter for Fox Sports.

Bush’s primary income is from football. He signed a contract with the New Orleans Saints in 2006. He got $12 million more after he played for the Detroit Lions. Bush was paid $12.55 million from the Lions in 2015 and an additional $850,000 as part of his signing bonus for that year. He earned an additional $500,000 when he hit incentives with Detroit last season. These included playing time incentives. In total, Bush’s salary is worth about half of what it was five years ago. He took a lower salary when he joined the Lions in 2015. The Saints could not afford him anymore at the higher salary. As a football player, he earned a total of $25.08 million from 2006 to 2015, and $13.65 million in the same time period before taxes were paid.

Aside from being a football player, Reggie Bush is also a well-known face in the advertising world. In 2005 he was named one of the most beautiful people by People Magazine. His endorsement deals with Nike, Gatorade, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Verizon Wireless followed soon after. Bush made headlines when he announced that he would compete on Dancing with the Stars. In addition to his football contract, Reggie Bush also owns businesses. One of these is a men’s clothing store called Twenty Four Seven Clothing Inc., which sells to retailers like Macy’s and Foot Locker. Bush partnered with his former USC teammate, Shawne Merriman to create the brand. The company was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Los Angeles.
