How Roman Atwood Achieved a Net Worth of $12 Million

Roman Atwood

Roman Atwood is one of the people who have managed to build up sizable fortunes through their YouTube videos. Currently, there are estimates that put his net worth at around $12 million, which are bound to be imprecise but should nonetheless provide interested individuals with a general idea of what he is worth in a financial sense. In short, Atwood was born in a place called Millersport, OH. On the whole, it isn't the most notable location that can be found on the map, which is perhaps unsurprising when its population is situated between the high hundreds and the low thousands. Regardless, Atwood has been very interested in video-making for some time, as shown by the fact that he has been producing them since he was a high school student.

How Did Roman Atwood Reach His Current Net Worth?

With that said, Atwood's path to becoming one of the most successful YouTubers out there has been neither simple nor straightforward. In fact, it is interesting to note that he spent some time working at his family's rope factory before he managed to get started.

By 2006, Atwood had managed to make DVDs that he called "The Nerd Herd," which he managed to sell at the Warped Tour. Besides this, he worked on various commercials as well as various indie movies that managed to provide him with more and more experience in the field of video-making. Eventually, Atwood made a choice to focus on comedy, thus resulting in the creation of a YouTube channel called "Sketch Empire."

Since that time, Atwood has managed to build up a considerable presence on YouTube, as shown by the fact that he has managed to secure millions and millions of subscribers as well as billions and billions of views. In this, he has been helped by a number of memorable videos. For example, there was the time when he filled his house with plastic balls for the purpose of turning it into a huge ball pit, which was so popular that Nissan offered him a Nissan GTR in exchange for the right to use it for their Super Bowl campaign. Likewise, there was the time when he planned to prank his significant other Brittney Smith-Atwood by pretending to have cheated on her, which backfired on him because she noticed the camera beforehand, thus prompting her to prank him by pretending to have cheated on him as well. On top of this, there was the time when Atwood pretended that a mannequin in a Spider-Man costume was their son Kane before proceeding to throw it, which perhaps unsurprisingly, irritated his significant other to such an extent that he spent that night on the couch rather than in their bed.

Under these circumstances, it seems safe to say that Atwood has managed to build up most of his wealth through his video-making. After all, his videos have been very, very successful, which in turn, means that he has managed to earn a fair amount of money because of them. Furthermore, his videos have brought him a fair amount of recognition, which in turn, have enabled him to make even more money. For instance, Atwood has his own business called Smile More in his hometown, which is responsible for producing clothing, accessories, and other merchandise that presumably sell much better than otherwise possible because of their connection with his brand.

Final Thoughts

It will be interesting to see how Atwood's net worth continues to change in the time to come. Nowadays, he seems to be best-known because of his vlogs, in which he posts updates about the latest occurrences in his life. Something that might seem strange to some people but nonetheless manages to entertain plenty of others. In contrast, his other YouTube channel on which he posts videos of his pranks has been inactive for some time, though its content is still available for interested individuals to check out. With that said, no matter what happens from this point forward, it seems safe to say that Atwood will continue to produce videos that will be seen by millions and millions of viewers out there. Something that is particularly true because he has managed to build up plenty of momentum behind him.
