He is considered a key thought leader on Public Relations and communications, including crisis management, public affairs and social media, and is called on to counsel blue chip companies, top business executives and religious leaders both at home and internationally.

About 5W Public Relations

Torossian founded 5WPR based on a simple vision. Beginning his career with a larger PR firm, Torossian quickly noted what was missing –results and innovation. He created 5W to emphasize results and to be flexible enough to adapt to the ever-evolving media landscape. 5W is made up of a team of storytellers who focus on driving results through media relations, digital strategy, social media and influencer partnerships.

An important principle at 5W is that consistency develops trust and results. Torossian believes in complete transparency with a commitment to driving results – which sets the firm apart from its peers with the immense level of care and open communication the firm has with its clients. Today, with offices located in Manhattan’s Helmsley Building, 5W has over 150 employees and an extensive client list that includes such names as Walgreens, JetSmarter, It’s a 10, Bowlmor, All-Clad, Rowenta, SAP, Zeta Global, and The Trade Desk. The firm is a full service agency focused in all consumer and B2B categories.

Ronn Torossian Gives Back

Ronn Torossian is both an entrepreneur and philanthropist. He takes pride in giving back and believes that charity is an important variable for success. Every year, Torossian gives a portion of his earnings to charity and 5W has a company policy that matches any donations their employees give. Torossian also donates to multiple educational initiatives and healthcare projects, noting that giving back through charity and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs will always be important priorities to him.

Role Models

From a young age, Torossian’s mother played a huge influence in his life. She taught him about the importance of working hard to accomplish dreams and helped him develop self-confidence and a belief in himself. Torossian credits his mother for giving him strength and wisdom – without her guidance, Torossian believes he would not be where he is today.

Warren Buffett is also one of Torossian’s role models. As one of the wealthiest and most successful men in the world, Buffet has never wavered from his morals and believes in helping mankind by continuously donating to various charities. Torossian believes that Buffett teaches people about the significance of living life with balance and purpose.

Ronn Torossian’s Advice

Tips and advice from Torossian: Be aggressive, don’t overthink, and be determined to make things happen no matter what obstacles are in your way. Entrepreneurs should lead by example, keeping an open mind, listening, and learning to take advice at the right times.

Another key belief for Torossian is to enjoy the simple things. Spend time with loved ones; show gratitude for your employees. Smiling is important and can go a long way. If you smile the first time you meet someone, they become relaxed and more comfortable. Have a sense of humor. Don’t ever take yourself too seriously.

Looking Ahead

Torossian looks to double 5W in size and revenue, and the first step is hiring the right people. Both in experience and culture, 5W looks to hire experts and professionals who breathe the same sense of entrepreneurship and get-things-done attitude that helped grow the agency to where it is today.
