What It’s Like to Fly British Airways Business Class

If you are traveling a long haul then choosing to fly business class is a popular choice, especially when it comes to British Airways.  It does cost more than flying in economy but there are a lot of additional benefits. Some of the features that you can expect to enjoy are described in more detail below.

Fast Track Through Check In And Security

When you have a long flight ahead of you the last thing that you want is to spend a lot of time queueing to get through check in and security. British Airways offer a fast track service through check in and security in a number of airports around the world. Once this is over with you can start to look forward to your trip beginning and this is not something that you want to wait around for.

Access To Luxury Departure Lounges

When you are waiting to board your flight your business class ticket will give you access to designer lounges at Heathrow. These are the perfect places to relax before your flight with complimentary food and drink. There will also be a range of newspapers and magazines that are available for you to choose from that you can take with you on your flight.

Increased Comfort And Flexibility

One of the main advantages of flying business class is that you have a lot more space to relax. Your seat will fully fold down to form a bed if you want to sleep and the seats are a lot more spacious than in economy with plenty of room for you to spread out. You will also find that the seats are a lot more comfortable which is what you want on a long flight.

Bedding And Amenity Kits

When you board the plane you will be handed a bedding and amenity kit. This has been designed by The White Company which is a luxury British brand. This includes a cushion that you can use while you are sitting which also doubles as a lumbar support that can be used when sleeping.

Wide Range Of Food Choices

You will be served a three course meal aboard the plane and there will be a wide selection of food that you can choose from for each course. The menu that is on offer has been designed by top chefs and you will be served restaurant quality food. There are also a wide range of drinks that you can choose from to accompany your meal.

Extensive Entertainment Options

There can be a lot of time to pass on a long haul flight and there is plenty to keep you entertained in business class. There are hundreds of movies that are available on demand that you can watch and pause as you wish. You will have your own screen and will also be provided with noise cancelling headphones so that you can lose yourself in the entertainment that is provided.

Skincare Kit To Help You Refresh

British Airways have partnered with Elemis to provide all passengers with a skincare kit that you can use to refresh during the flight. There are different packages available for men and women with products that are appropriate for their different needs. These are all high quality products and can be used to give your skin a real boost during the flight.

Specific Overnight Services

If you are flying overnight then you will be offered a specific night time service which can help you relax ready for the day ahead. When you board the plane you will be offered a night cap and then the lights will be dimmed ready for you to sleep. If the cabin crew are bringing drinks for passengers that are not sleeping then they will not do this using a trolley to help keep the noise down.

Increased Baggage Allowance

The baggage allowance that you receive in business class is very generous compared to economy. You are allowed to take a cabin bag onboard as well as a laptop case which can be useful if you are on a business trip. You are also able to take two bags that can be placed in the hold. You can also arrange with the AirPortr service to have your bags taken to the airport on your behalf.
