Jeep continues to build on its reputation as a go-anywhere brand by introducing the all-new Grand Wagoneer. The original Wagoneer was designed and developed to be far more than just another vehicle, and this modern interpretation of its predecessor is no different. Taking styling cues from the first-generation model, which launched in 1963, the all-new Grand Wagoneer is the most premium SUV in the Jeep lineup. Developed by FCA’s Global Body Exterior Design team in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and engineered by its 4×4 vehicle dynamics teams in Detroit, this next-generation SUV will continue to keep its customers on or off-road for years to come. The model uses a modern approach to design by mixing the traditional styling cues from the original Wagoneer with those found on other Jeep models. The result is a vehicle with classic styling, and all the modern amenities drivers expect. As part of an exclusive reveal event, we took a closer look at the all-new Grand Wagoneer in detail. It's available in four models; Wagoneer Series I, Wagoneer Series II, Wagoneer Series III, and Wagoneer Obsidian, which are all 4x4s.
Performance and Capability
It all starts with a solid foundation. And the all-new Grand Wagoneer's foundation is strong with body-on-frame construction and Quadra Link™ front and five-link rear suspension. This next-generation SUV is powered by a modern interpretation of the classic 707 hp 6.4L V8 engine that lives under its classic, sculptured hood. At the heart and soul of its predecessors, the new Grand Wagoneer is engineered to handle whatever you can dish out on- or off-road. It also gets a heavily modified version of the Quadra-Drive II automatic 4x4 system with legendary capability, which was first used on the Wrangler Rubicon and then adopted for other family members such as the Grand Cherokee SRT and Trackhawk models. The new model also has a rear electronic limited-slip differential, 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, Selec-Terrain Traction Management System to give dedicated control and a Selec-Speed Control system driver's choice speed for on-road driving. When it comes to capability, the all-new Grand Wagoneer is also equipped with a modern approach to design by combining old school looks with new school performance. The electronically controlled air suspension system responds to changing road conditions and can lower the vehicle for improved aerodynamics at high speeds or raise it to negotiate steep grades.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer uses state-of-the-art technology to make it one of the most advanced SUVs on the market. It's equipped with the latest Uconnect 5 system, an upgraded version of the previous Uconnect 4. It has a massive 12-inch touchscreen display for all media types, including GPS navigation and entertainment capabilities. According to Jeep's official website, this model has the Next-Gen Uconnect® 5 System that combines touch and voice control for the ultimate in-vehicle entertainment. Jeep also introduced the Wagoneer with a brand new Industry-First Mcintosh® Entertainment System, the first of its kind to deliver precise imaging and vibrant musicality. Along with its high-tech infotainment system, a cutting-edge screen in the back of each seat allows rear passengers to enjoy their entertainment simultaneously.
The interior of the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is more luxurious than its predecessor's. It features premium hand-treated materials that are soft and smooth to the touch. There's also a rich assortment of authentic metal surfaces for warmth, contrast, and beauty. Handcrafted American walnut is elegantly integrated throughout the cabin for visual appeal and warmth. Jeep's official website says these features deliver warm and cool contrast that offers rejuvenating relaxation. It doesn't end there; the Jeep also comes with 24-way power-adjustable front seats designed to rejuvenate the driver and passenger. Besides that, both the front and back seats feature independent climate controls for each seating area. Its cargo area has a large amount of space to store anything you might want to take with you or your passengers.

Moreover, it has Signature LED headlamps with an integrated electronic motor that rotates the lamp. The car also has multi-element rear LED lights to give a striking vision. Besides that, it has Power Retractable Running Boards that retract automatically to reduce obstruction. They are also operable with a key fob. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer gives you two wheel options - 20- and 22-inch machined aluminum wheels, which bring elegance and aggression together to complement its exterior style.
Safety & Security
When it comes to safety and security, Jeep has always been a leader in the field. The exterior design follows the same principle, with a multitude of sensors and cameras that make driving easier and safer. One distinctive feature found on this 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is the Active Drive Assist, which uses lane-centering technology to keep you in your lane at all times automatically. In addition, there is Adaptive Cruise Control that can brake, accelerate, and even come to a complete stop when needed - all automatically. The Jeep also has the Front Collision Warning that alerts you if you are about to hit an object in front of you. It can even apply your brakes for you if necessary. This intelligent system warns drivers with audio-visual alerts on the dashboard before it gets to this point. Additionally, the Adaptive Cruise Control can stop itself for you. Besides that, the Wagoneer has a Forward Collision Warning - it detects what's ahead and alerts you if there is an object in front of you that will cause an accident. The system also lets the car automatically brake to avoid a collision. And according to Jeep's official website, the patented ParkSense® Automated Parking System allows drivers to easily and seamlessly park their vehicles with the simple push of a button. The system engages gears, throttle, and braking automatically while performing parallel parking maneuvers.
