The 10 Best Restaurants in All of Charlotte, NC

When it comes to North Carolinian cuisine, the first thing that should come to mind is North Carolinian barbecue. After all, the state takes its barbecue so seriously that there is a semi-serious feud between the supporters of Eastern style barbecue and Lexington style barbecue, both of which specialize in pork but can see significant differences when it comes to the specifics. With that said, seeing as Charlotte is one of the biggest cities in North Carolina, it should come as no surprise to learn that it is home to a wide range of other restaurants serving other kinds of food, meaning that interested individuals should have no problems finding something to suit their particular palates.

Aix en Provence

Aix en Provence is a bistro. To be exact, it is a bistro that specializes in the western part of the Mediterranean Sea, meaning southern French cuisine, norther Italian cuisine, and northern Spanish cuisine. Combined with a comfortable setting, this makes Aix en Provence a great choice for people who are curious about the famous food of the Mediterranean world.

Beef ‘N Bottle

Sometimes, there is nothing better than a huge slab of high-quality meat that has been cooked to culinary perfection. When someone gets meat cravings, they might want to head on over to Beef ‘N Bottle, which is one of the best steakhouses in the whole of Charlotte. Interestingly, each of its steaks comes with a salad as well as a side, thus ensuring that interested individuals will have nutritional variety.

Fig Tree

Charlotte has no shortage of fine dining options. One excellent example is Fig Tree, which is housed in a Craftsman-style house built in the early part of the 20th century. In particular, the restaurant is famous for its grilled elk chop, which is a meat that has sometimes been described as being clean, tender, and for some reason, somewhat sweet.

Haberdish

When it comes to comfort food such as fried chicken and buttermilk ice cream, Haberdish is an excellent choice for the hungry consumer. With that said, Haberdish also offers craft cocktails, which should come as interesting news to those who have very specific tastes when it comes to their beverages.

Lumiere

Those who are interested in French cuisine might want to check out Lumiere. Its menu items such as brioche, lobster macaroni, and foie gras with mushrooms prove that deliciousness doesn’t have to come in big portions.

Midwood Smokehouse

It would be a shame to pass up on the barbecue options that can be found in Charlotte. One excellent option would be the Midwood Smokehouse, which serves foods such as mac & cheese, jalapenos that have been wrapped in bacon, and Carolina pork served up with hushpuppies.

O-Ku

For sushi, there are few places that can match O-Ku in the city of Charlotte. In short, it serves everything from tuna tarts to rainbow rolls stuffed with crab, masago, and more. However, for people who want something that isn’t sushi, O-Ku offers menu items such as ramen with either wagyu beef or braised pork belly as well.

Stagioni

There are a couple of reasons that people might be interested in Stagioni. First, it boasts an intimate setting, which is great for people who want a particular feel for their dining-out experience. Second, Stagioni serves Italian classics, with an entertaining stand-out being the pizza that comes with a pair of scissors so that the customer can cut it up however they like.

Summit Room

The Summit Room has Southern-inspired menu items such as BBQ shrimp accompanied by corn pudding, which are offered to its customers in a rustic chic setting. The result is a winning combination, particularly since it can come with exceptional cocktails.

The Cowfish

The Cowfish is as unusual as most people would expect upon hearing its name. In short, it specializes in not one but two kinds of food, with one being burgers and the other being sushi. Moreover, The Cowfish excels at both burgers and sushis, meaning that it is a superb restaurant for people who are interested in either one of the two options or both of them at the same time.
