10 Cars Similar to the Toyota Supra

2021 Toyota GR Supra

The Toyota Supra is one of those great cars that's built with care and consideration to help make the driver and passengers more comfortable and happy as they drive. It has exhilarating agility, balance, power, excellent control, and the kind of design that other cars like the Supra rarely match.

Furthermore, its driver cockpit is focused and tight, with a double-bubble roof that provides additional headroom for taller people. The large cockpit comfortably hosts two passengers and provides a relaxing place to ride.

The strong engine can, in 3.7 seconds, accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour. That's because the Toyota Supra comes with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged direct-injection engine. The latest version is automatic and has an 8-speed automatic transmission that can quickly shift modes to optimize driving.

How's the power? Well, the 3.0-liter engine can quickly produce a horsepower of up to 382. As for efficiency, the Supra's fuel consumption is rated at 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. Other cars similar to Supra can't match that kind of efficiency.

Regarding infotainment and connectivity, the Supra's central display is an 8.8-inch unit and is compatible with both navigation and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The towing capacity is about 1,700 kg. You also get 10.2 cubic feet of cargo room. That makes the Toyota Supra a very in-demand vehicle.

But what if you can't find one, would rather not spend that much money, or simply want to find cars like the Toyota Supra from other manufacturers? There are many cars like Supra that may appeal to you. This article will examine 10 other cars whose specifications are similar to the Toyota Supra.

The 10 Cars Like Toyota Supra to Check Out

Like the Toyota Supra, the best cars are sport, attractive, and engaging vehicles that include many similar amenities and specs. Some might have stronger engines, while others have better transmissions and suspensions. The best cars, like the Supra, typically come at around the same price and provide a hands-on driving experience that should take your vehicle obsession to the next level.

10. Chevrolet Corvette

The Chevrolet Corvette is one of the many cars whose rating has been done by Forbes Wheels. This publication reports on various vehicles and other products to ensure accurate purchase details. It found cars like the Toyota Supra, and we think the Chevrolet Corvette is one of the best.

It has an estimated MSRP value of $60,900, though this may change based on many factors, such as your location and availability. The Corvette is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that can produce a horsepower of 490 and a torque of 465 lb.-ft., which are all solid numbers.

The EPA rated the 2024 model's fuel consumption at 25 mpg on the highway, 16 mpg in the city, and a combined 19 mpg. That’s pretty good for such a sporty vehicle, particularly one with such an attractive overall design. It makes the Corvette a strong option for many people.

While driving, expect front legroom of 42.8 inches, which is a solid amount for such a vehicle. The car has a cargo capacity of 12.6 cubic feet between its trunks. That might seem small, but people don’t drive cars like Supra when grocery shopping or hiking, after all.

It’s important to note that the car is sharply divided between the driver and the passenger, giving no room to couples who wish to hold hands on the road. It's not a huge deal, though this car’s 8-speed automatic design may disappoint people who love manual transmissions.

9. Tesla Roadster

The Tesla Roadster is one of the cars the Tesla company has produced to revolutionize the motor vehicle industry. As an electric vehicle, it’s designed to cut back on gasoline expenses while still providing a strong and capable drive. Its specs might be a little surprising at first.

For example, it comes with a 3-phase, 4-pole electric motor capable of producing 185Kw (equivalent to 248 horsepower). That’s not a huge amount of power compared to some models, but it is more than decent for an electric vehicle, which makes it a great investment for someone who wants cars like the Supra.

Furthermore, the Roadster has four seats, with the rear being smaller than the front. That’s a common tradeoff for sports cars, so make sure that you understand that and avoid buying it as a family vehicle. Currently, it ranks among the most expensive cars, valued at $200,000 in the U.S.

In terms of dimensions, the car is 42oo mm long, 2000 mm wide, 1200 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 28900mm. So, while it’s probably not one of the largest and most powerful vehicles on the market, it’s similar enough to the Supra to make our list. The Top Speed rates it at 8.7/10.

8. 2024 Polestar 1

According to the Car Guide, this model’s 2022 edition had a base price of $197,000. The updated version is a little pricier but has similar amenities with upgrades in various areas. That makes it one of the most popular hybrids on the market and a model more than worth checking out.

First of all, the Polestar 1 has a capacity of four passengers and an 8-speed automatic transmission that powers its all-wheel drivetrains. That automatic shifting might seem disappointing at first, but most cars, like the Toyota Supra, use an automatic transmission to streamline shifting.

Like other Hybrids, the Polestar 1 has a gasoline direct injection fuel system alongside a 2.0-liter turbo/supercharged Gas/Electric I-4 engine. The EPA has rated its combined fuel consumption to be 26 mpg, while the hybrid version has a combined fuel economy of 58 mpg.

The cool thing about this hybrid is the ability to quickly shift between a hybrid economy and a gas engine. You can easily switch on this option when driving in the city to increase your efficiency and turn it on while on the highway to get even more value out of your gas purchases.

When full, the tank can hold up to 15.9 gallons of gas. That should give you more than enough gas and can get you through hundreds of miles of travel quickly and efficiently. Unlike electric vehicles, you don’t have to charge the engine because the alternator will do this for you.

The 2024 Polestar 1 measures 108 inches at the wheelbase, 182 inches at the wheelbase, 53.2 inches in height, and 77.1 inches in width. In addition, the front headroom of the car is 38 inches, the front leg room is 42 inches, and the hip room is 56.3 inches. That’s more than enough room for comfort.

Furthermore, the cargo area has a trunk space of 4.3 cubic feet. Obviously, that’s not very much even compared to other sporty vehicles, like the Corvette. However, you’re not driving the Polestar 1 to soccer practice; you’re likely driving it to show off (which we totally approve of doing).

The strength of this car lies in its hybrid engine choices, which have become very popular among its users. Electric drivers sometimes feel uncomfortable charging repeatedly, and hybrid options provide a strong balance between the two engines that may work well for many people.

7. Audi R8

The 2020 Audi R8 had a starting MSRP of $198,900, and it is one of the cars like Toyota Supra models that we can strongly recommend. The 2023 model comes in at a cool $253,290, though that’s just the base model. There are many ways to upgrade this vehicle and make it better.

At its base, it has a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a rear-wheel drivetrain. With its two doors, it can only host two passengers. That makes it a better choice if you and your partner love cruising around with cars like Supra or want a sporty vehicle that stands out.

The EPA rates its fuel consumption at 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway for a combined value of 14. Its gas fuel tank is 19.3 gallons when it is full, giving you plenty of gas for your trip. Like the 2020 Audi R8, the 2023 model has a 5.2-liter V10 engine with a horsepower of 602 @ 8000 rpm and a 413 lb.-ft @ 6400 rpm torque. That’s a slight upgrade from past models.

Thankfully, the Audi R8 also has 40 valves with variable timing and a double overhead cam.

Its dimensions are outstanding, with a length of 174.3 inches, an overall width of 80.2 inches (with mirrors), a height of 48.8 inches, and a wheelbase of 104.3 inches. That should provide you with lots of room.

On a related note, the car's warranty is four years/50000 miles. That means driving this car for years should be easy without worrying about any major problems. Please make sure that you talk with a dealer before buying this car to ensure that you find cars similar to Supra that make sense for you.

6. 2023 Porsche 718 Cayman

Last year, we highly ranked the 2022 Porsche 718 Cayman and still think it's one of the best cars like the Toyota Supra. The price for the 2023 model ranges from $64,850 to $150,550, depending on your trim and other items you add to the vehicle. Is that price worth it? Let’s dig in deeper to find out more.

The Cayman has a flat four-cylinder with a horsepower of 394 @ 7000 rpm and a 309 lb.-ft @ 5000 rpm torque. As a result, similar to other cars like the Supra, this vehicle has a lot of get-up-and-go and should provide you with an attractive and powerful driving experience.

When full, its tank can hold up to 14.2 gallons, and the EPA ranks it at 20 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, with a combined mpg of 22.

The 2023 Porsche 718 Cayman comfortably hosts two passengers and enjoys an average warranty of 4 years/ 50000 miles. So, while it’s not necessarily the most family-friendly car, you probably won’t mind driving this beautiful and easy-to-drive vehicle wherever you go.

For example, it has a 6-speed manual transmission and a rear-wheel drivetrain. In measurements, the car has a length of 172.4 inches, an overall width of 78.5 inches (with mirrors), and 70.9 inches without mirrors. That gives you lots of room for you and a passenger.

In addition, it has a height of 51.0 inches and a wheelbase of 97.4 inches. The 2023 Porsche 718 Cayman has a maximum cargo capacity of 14.9 inches and a sharp turning of 36.1 inches. That gives it near-racing levels of power and control that you’ll likely love.

Thankfully, it also has one of the best in-car entertainment systems with 150 watts of stereo, eight speakers, and three months of satellite radio service. Its noticeable security features include a post-collision safety system, front and side airbags, emergency braking preparation, and assistance.

5. 2023 Ford Mustang

There is a remarkable resemblance between the 2023 Ford Mustang and other cars like the Toyota Supra. This model and the Supra are all-wheel drives with two-door coupes, claiming a sub 4.0 seconds acceleration in 0-100 km/h. That makes the Mustang one of the most powerful cars on this list.

They share the same design, comfort, performance, handling, and equipment features. With many years of evolution, some models of the Ford Mustang are sharper and sexier than others. The 2023 is one of the most attractive and is even an upgrade on the 2022, ranking as the most beautiful.

Beyond its surface beauty, the Mustang also has real power behind the hood. There are different engine options for the Ford Mustang. This diverse array of engines lets you change various types that may work well for your needs.

These include a 2.3-liter four-cylinder with a horsepower of 330 and a torque of 350; a 5.0-liter V8 with a horsepower of 460 and torque of 420; a 5.0-liter V8 producing a horsepower of 480 and a torque of 420; and a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 with a horsepower of up to 760 and a torque of 625.

On average, the engines range at 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. It also has 16 valves with variable timing and a 6-speed manual transmission. The Mustang is also large enough to host four passengers and is a compact and sporty car that many people will enjoy driving.

In terms of length, the car measures 188.9 inches and has an 81.9 inches width. The front headroom is 37.6 inches, and the front leg room is 45.1 inches. That should give you more than enough room to take long drives and ensure that everyone in your vehicle is happy and cozy.

4. The Audi TT

According to the website USNewsCars, the average starting price paid for the Audi TT in 2019 was $42,644. The most recent model starts at $53,295 and ranges up to $68,895, depending on your trim, the model you purchase, availability near you, and delivery options.

Thankfully, this car more than lives up to that price and is one of the best cars like the Toyota Supra. According to Car and Driver magazine, “...(other vehicles” can’t keep up in terms of acceleration and handling prowess” when compared to this exciting model.

Expect a 7-speed automated manual transmission, which powers its all-wheel drivetrain. The TT has a capacity of four passengers and enjoys a four-year/50000-mile basic warranty. That ensures that your investment is strong and protected from various potential issues.

The engine of the Audi TT is 2.0-lite with four inline cylinders that produce a horsepower of 228 and a torque of 258. Regarding fuel consumption, the EPA has rated it at 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, resulting in a combined mpg of 26.

When full, its tank can hold up to 14.5 gallons with direct injection and a double overhead cam with 16 valves that use variable valve timing. Regarding the measurements, you should realize that the car is 165.0 inches long, 77.4 inches in overall width with mirrors, 53.3 inches in height, and has a wheelbase of 98.6 inches. More than big enough for most people!

Furthermore, it has a turning circle of 34.8 feet, a headroom of 37.1 inches, a front leg room of 41.1 inches, and a front shoulder room of 53.6 inches to provide a smooth and cozy ride.

Some safety features include a post-collision system, dual front side-mounted airbags, and child seat anchors. This modern vehicle is a great investment for anyone interested in a sports car like the Toyota Supra, particularly those who love the style of Audi.

3. Nissan GT-R

The 2023 Nissan GT-R has a starting price of $116,040, though that price can quickly increase if you invest in better trims. These include upgrades like stronger engines, better audio quality, and more. Like many cars similar to Supra models, this vehicle is very adaptable and sporty.

Expect a strong seating capacity paired with a three-year/ 36000 miles warranty to keep you safe on the road. The Nissan GT-R has a 3.8l V6 engine with a horsepower of 600 @ 6800 rpm and a 481 lb.-ft @ 3600 rpm torque. That’s pretty standard for this model and rarely changes.

Furthermore, it has a 6-speed automated manual transmission and an all-wheel drivetrain. Its valve timing is variable and uses a double overhead cam type. As a result, it’s a fairly strong vehicle that can provide you with lots of control and power on the road.

The EPA rated its fuel consumption at 18 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway for a combined score of 18. When the tank is full, it can hold up to 19.5 gallons, which is actually a pretty large amount for a vehicle as sporty and powerful as this model.

Is the interior large and cozy? Yes, because the front headroom of the car measures 38.1 inches, the front leg room is 44.6 inches, and the front shoulder room is 54.3 inches. That should provide you with more than enough room to relax on solo drives or when hanging out with a partner.

2. Acura NSX

Here comes another of the best cars, like the Toyota Supra, that provides multiple cool and unique features. It’s a fun and elegant vehicle that drives smoothly in many areas and looks great doing it. Like other cars like the Supra, that’s a huge advantage to take seriously.

For example, it has a 3.5-liter twin-turbo aluminum-alloy 75-degree V-6 engine, a combined system horsepower of 600, and a torque of 492. It has a mid-mounted longitudinal layout that makes it more streamlined and beautiful, particularly when you crank that speed.

The engine has a compression ratio of 10:1 and a direct and port fuel injection. When you enter a showroom, you’ll find a car with a wheelbase of 103.5 inches, 178.5 inches long, and 47.8 inches. That gives it an impressive and unique style that should fit into many garages.

In interior measurements, the Acura NSX has a headroom measuring 38.3 inches, a legroom of 42.9 inches, and a hip room of 54.5 inches. As a result, it should be easy enough for you to feel comfortable. Like other cars like the Toyota Supra, it has two doors and holds two passengers.

When driving, expect an acceleration of 0-60 mph in under 3.0 seconds and a maximum speed of 191. Of course, you shouldn’t drive that fast, or you risk getting into a serious accident. Note that it also has many security features, such as a multi-view rear camera with dynamic guidelines, advanced front airbags, side bags with rollover sensors, and a four-wheel anti-lock braking system.

1. BMW Z4

The 2023 BMW Z4 is among the first cars you will see when looking for cars like Toyota Supra. In just 3.9 seconds, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. That’s just 0.2 more seconds than the Toyota Supra, which posts a speed of 112 miles per hour at its top rate.

The BMW Z4 has a slightly higher market capping price of $63,700. The BMW Z4 has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for the sDrive 30i model and a twin-turbocharged inline-six for the M40i model.
