Why You Should Check out the Centurion Lounge in Phoenix

Centurion Lounge

When you're traveling, it's easy to feel rushed as you try to get from one place to the other. Sometimes it's nice to slow down for a few minutes and just relax, enjoying the journey itself as opposed to only focusing on trying to get from point A to point B. The Centurion Lounge at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is a great way to do exactly that. In fact, this particular lounge might be one of the best ways to enjoy traveling that you have ever seen. There are actually a number of reasons that you shouldn't hesitate to check this lounge out. Below are just a few of them.

It’s a Great Place to Kick Back and Relax

There's no doubt about it, this is one of the best places in the area to simply kick back and relax. There's more than enough space in the area for you to put your feet up so you don't have to feel so rushed throughout your entire trip. As a matter of fact, the entire lounge looks more like something out of an upscale hotel than anything that you would typically find in an airport terminal. If you're looking for a place to simply get away from the hustle and bustle of everything else going on at the airport, this is a great place to start. It works equally well if you are looking for a bit more privacy than you would otherwise have or if you just want to sit down and read for a while. The area is comfortable, well kept and atmospheric. It doesn't matter if you are looking for a place to get away from it all or you just need to kill a few hours until you can jump on the next flight, this is a good place to do all of those things and then some.

Dine and Enjoy

This lounge also offers some of the best food and drink that you're ever likely to find at any airport. As a matter of fact, they typically partner with some of the best chefs in the country, offering unique menu items that change based on the time of year that you visit. One thing is certain, you're definitely not going to find some stale old menu that only offers a few of the same items year-round. They're careful about making sure that they change things up on a fairly regular basis so that people who are routine visitors don't get fed up with the same old thing all the time. The food is delicious and you can pair it with some of the finest wines available in order to round out your experience. When you’re here, you definitely don't feel like you're sitting in an airport lounge. In fact, you actually feel like you're at some five star restaurant that's almost completely exclusive, yet you're actually sitting at Terminal 4 in one of the busier airports in the country. It's almost like having an oasis right in the middle of all the chaos. It literally feels like walking into a different world the moment that you cross the threshold into the lounge. One thing is certain, all of the chaos is left on the other side of the line. Once you get into the lounge, it's all about catering to your needs and making sure that every one of those needs is met almost immediately. Aside from having a place to relax and enjoy good food and some great wine, there are plenty of other reasons to visit the lounge as well.

There's no doubt about it, there are plenty of amenities that are offered at the Centurion Lounge. One of the first things you see when you walk in is the exceptionally large family room, complete with a number of comfortable couches and a large television that is attached to the wall. However, that's definitely not the only thing that you'll notice. As a matter of fact, there are plenty of amenities to be enjoyed here. There's even a place to take a shower, not to mention some individual suites where you can go just to relax and enjoy some privacy. It's a great thing to have access to something like this if you just happen to have a job that puts you in the public eye or if you have small children that you're traveling with and you're looking for a way to get some privacy where you can take a breather and get away from it all. In short, it’s the place to be when you’re trying to have some time to yourself. Of course, your luggage can be safely locked away while you're waiting and there's even a wine tasting room so you can decide exactly what you want before you order your meal. If you're trying to get some work done, they have plenty of work spaces available that offer a fair amount of privacy, a definite plus when you're traveling. There's a conference room in the area and if you have a little bit more time to kill, they even have a spa right there on site. The truth of the matter is that you can use the area for virtually anything you need, whether it's to get some extra work done, enjoy a meal or just relax.

Accessing the Lounge

Right now, you're probably wondering exactly how you can access the lounge. Can everyone use it or is it only available to certain individuals? Access is restricted, as the lounge is only accessible to people who have certain American Express cards in their possession. If you're a Delta SkyMiles member or you have a Centurion card provided by American Express, you can access this or any other Centurion Lounge in the country. Depending on the exact card in question, you might even be able to bring additional guests. That said, the regulations regarding the guest policy does change in relation to the particular card that is possessed by the individual in question. Therefore, it's a good idea to double-check the fine print before you bring any guests into the area, only to find out that it isn't allowed. Aside from that, amenities are available to everyone. It doesn't matter if you're traveling in economy class or you’re a first class passenger, you have the same access to the lounge as any other card holder. If you haven't tried the lounge before, it's definitely something that you will probably want to do again and again once you experience it for the first time. One thing is certain, it's definitely a much better way to spend layovers instead of sitting on a hard plastic chair in a busy terminal, watching the rest of the world go by.
