10 Reasons to Stay at the Radisson Blu Anaheim

Radisson Blue Anaheim

If you're planning a visit to Anaheim, there's a new hotel on the block to consider. The Radisson Blu Anaheim first opened in November 2020, but like many other hotels, was forced to close its doors shortly after in the midst of the pandemic. But now it's back in business, with a new coveted Four Diamond designation from the AAA to add to its already extensive list of credits. With a gorgeous rooftop bar and pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, top-notch business resources, and 326 luxuriously decorated rooms to its name, it makes an ideal base for couples, singles, families, and corporate travelers alike. Regardless of whether you're traveling to Anaheim for business or pleasure, here are ten reasons to consider a stay at the Radisson Blu Anaheim.

1. It's a foodie's dream

Vacations are the perfect time to indulge in plenty of good eats. At the Radisson Blu Anaheim, you'll find no shortage of opportunities to indulge your tastebuds in some top-notch cuisine. Star of the show is Blu SkyBar, the hotel’s rooftop bar and restaurant. The food is Spanish-themed, with an excellent selection of tapas to share with friends and family while enjoying the views over the theme parks. Other options include the FireLake Grillhouse and Cocktail Bar, which offers Californian cuisine and an excellent drinks menu, and Blu Marketplace, a spacious coffee bar that also delivers a tasty selection of snacks, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches.

2. There are two pools to choose between

If the weather's warm, don't miss making your way to the rooftop to check out the beautiful adults-only rooftop pool. Open 9 am to 10 pm daily, it's a haven of sophistication and tranquility, with gorgeous views, a large hot tub, lounge chairs, and a scattering of plush cushioned swings for extra seating. If you want something more family-friendly, head for the 360 degrees Oasis Pool on the ground level off the lobby, which comes with the added benefit of a hot tub, a splash pad for kids, lounge chairs, a poolside bar, and private cabanas.

3. The rooms are super-luxe

As you'd expect of a four-diamond hotel, the rooms at the Radisson Blu Anaheim leave nothing to be desired. The hotel offers 326 comfortable rooms and suites in total, 150 of which come with kid-friendly bunk beds for groups of up to 6 people. There are also 40 connected rooms that are perfect for families. Regardless of which room you choose, you can expect a range of top-notch amenities like flat-screen TVs, in-room fridges, robes and slippers, and a coffee maker.

4. Pets are welcome

If your vacation wouldn't be complete without Fido riding shotgun beside you, then Radisson Blu Anaheim is a great option. Finding a pet-friendly hotel can be a challenge, but here, dogs are as welcome as people. Just bear in mind that if you chose to take advantage of the pet policy, you'll need to pay a nonrefundable $100 fee per room, per stay. There's a limit of two dogs per room, and they'll need to be kept leashed at all times.

5. It's perfect for Disney fans

As tripswithtykes.com explains, knowing that most people traveling to Anaheim are going to appreciate a little extra Disney magic where they stay, the hotel has done an excellent job of incorporating subtle Disney touches into its stylish decor. Keep your eyes peeled for the trio of stormtroopers as you enter, along with the hangings with Disney Lego minifigs and the Mickey Mouse-shaped pool. Even the lobby elevator has been Disneyfied, with one half painted black and the other painted white to represent the dark and light side of the force for Star Wars fans.

6. The location is ideal

Located just 1.1km from Disneyland, the Radisson Blu Anaheim makes the perfect base for exploring the area's multiple attractions. Discovery Cube Orange County and Kidseum are both within easy reach, while baseball fans will be pleased to know the home of the Los Angeles Angels, Angel Stadium, is less than 2 miles away. Corporate visitors are just a few steps away from the Anaheim Business & Industrial Park. There are also multiple green areas like Carbon Canyon, Yorba, and Irvine regional parks to explore.

7. Getting around is easy

Although Disneyland is just 1.1km away from the Radisson Blu Anaheim, you don't have to walk there if you don't want to. The Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) has a dedicated pickup and drop-off spot at the hotel, making it a breeze to simply hop on a shuttle bus and reach the park in minutes. A one-day pass is just $6 for adults and $2.50 for children/seniors. There's also a 3-day pass at $16 for adults and $3.50 for children, and a 5 day pass at $25 for adults and $5.50 for children.

8. Its rooftop is one of the best in Orange County

Of all the hotel's attractions, the rooftop is one of the sparkliest, offering gorgeous views over the resort from the peak of the Matterhorn Bobsleds to the dome-shaped arena of the Anaheim Convention Center. Boasting a bar, a pool, and a fine dining restaurant, it's a wonderful place to soak up the rays in the day or enjoy Disneyland's fireworks show at night. “Our goal was to turn this rooftop into the best rooftop in Orange County,” Steve Lindburg, Radisson Blu Anaheim’s general manager, told the LA Times (https://www.latimes.com/socal/daily-pilot/entertainment/story/2021-11-08/radisson-blu-hotel-is-anaheims-four-diamond-in-the-rough). Suffice to say, they succeeded.

9. It's event-ready

If you're organizing an event, the Radisson Blu Anaheim makes an excellent venue. With two modern boardrooms that can accommodate 30 people each (or 70 when combined), it's ideal for everything from conferences to meetings, small receptions to intimate weddings, family gatherings to private dinners. A dedicated team of event planners will be on hand to ensure everything goes smoothly, helping with seating arrangements, guest room bookings, food, and more besides.

10. The amenities are first-rate

As disneyland.disney.go.com points out, the Radisson Blu Anaheim offers an extensive list of onsite amenities and services that extend beyond the two pools and numerous dining options to include an ATM, business services, coffee and tea making facilities, complimentary self-parking for one vehicle, a fitness center, laundry (self-service, valet and dry cleaning) and complimentary WIFI in both the guest rooms and common areas.
