The Top Five Luxury Hotels Near Disney World

Disney

The “Happiest Place on Earth” may have originally referred to Disneyland but frankly, I find Disney World to be much more magical. Perhaps it’s the location but, having lived in both SoCal and Central Florida, I’ve been to both and Disney World is much more beautiful and green than Disneyland. From the ferry boat ride to get to the gate to Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and beyond, it’s definitely better in Florida than SoCal. It seems larger, newer (probably because it is and by many years) and just plain prettier.

And, that brings us to the hotels in and around DisneyWorld. They’re really more magical as well. There are too many to count and each luxury hotel seems to be much more opulent and spacious than the previous one, making it hard to choose between them. Your choice basically depends on how much you want to spend, and what kind of accommodations you’re looking for. For instance, do you just want a double room or a suite? In addition, much depends on whether you have kids traveling with you or not. If so, you’ll want plenty of fun stuff right there at your hotel to keep them busy. If not, you could be more concerned with how romantic the hotel is and whether it has a great bar. So, that being said, here are The Top Five Luxury Hotels Near Disney World, in my humble opinion:

1. Four Seasons Resort Orlando

Nothing quite says luxury hotel like the Four Seasons. And, the Orlando Four Seasons does not disappoint. This luxury hotel is located inside the Walt Disney World gates and is the only resort in central Florida that has received the AAA Five Diamond Award. It offers the perfect combination of both the Disney and the Four Seasons experience. It’s the place to go, whether for a family event or for a romantic night or more for you and your significant other. The amenities include fine dining, a gorgeous golf course, a fully-equipped amazing spa, plus a fun-filled island for the children.

2. Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Another name synonymous with the ultimate in luxury is Waldorf Astoria. The Orlando location is a serene spot for everybody in the family and is located on a beautiful 482-acre nature preserve. And, you’re sure to enjoy your stay soaking up the warm Florida sun while relaxing poolside at one of the Waldorf’s amazing pools in the middle of one of the most tranquil settings around. In addition, the caring poolside attendants will make sure that you have everything you need.

3. Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress

It’s a well-known fact that Hyatt Regency hotels are grand places to stay and none are grander than the Grand Cypress. Besides its close proximity to Walt Disney World and numerous other attractions, it’s an attraction in itself. With 1,500 acres of Central Florida beauty surrounding you, you’re going to love this gorgeous resort from the minute you arrive. It has everything to make your stay complete, from the private lake to the poolside cabanas and the endless 45-hole golf course. On top of all that, it’s only about one mile to Walt Disney World.

4. Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center

Enchanting is the best word to describe this resort with its lush towering atriums that showcase a wealth of amazing Florida paradises. See the Everglades and the lush landscape and feel like you’re there. Or, marvel at the vibrant colors and tropical scenery of

Key West, or the rich history and cobblestone streets of St. Augustine. You can enjoy a Florida escape that is truly world-class while also being awestruck by the views around you that include winding waterways and lush landscapes. Add to all that the superior amenities and extraordinary service and you’ll find that you never even have to leave the resort to find everything your heart desires.

5. Orlando World Center Marriott

When it comes to all-inclusive resorts, this one has got it all covered and then some. It offers plenty of convenient shuttles going to Walt Disney World. On the other hand, you might prefer to simply enjoy the resort’s on-site amenities. For starter’s the Orlando World Center Marriott has not just one but two 200-foot waterslides, an amazing 18-hole golf course, and even laser light shows every night. If you have kids, they’re sure to love every minute of their stay and not just when they’re at Disney World either. Who wouldn’t love a massive dazzling laser light show every night?
