How Much Does It Cost to Attend a Minnesota Timberwolves Game?

As a Minnesota Timberwolves fan, if you’re tired of catching the action from the couch or your favorite chair via the television set, you could easily change things up and go watch a live game. It doesn’t really cost that much unless you want to pull out the stops and go with the most expensive options. Actually attending a game and enjoying the amenities is fairly reasonable. We’ve broken down the cost of attending a game live with the average cost that the majority of fans pay as well as the lowest you can spend and the most.

The cost of tickets is reasonable

The price of tickets to get in to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves play at Target Center ranges between $7 and $1138, but it depends on the day that you choose to go, where you want to sit and if it’s a major playoff event or not. The average price that a Minnesota Timberwolves fan pays is around $78.00. The seats at this price are great and of the wide range of choices, it’s the most popular.

Parking isn’t bad

There are a few different parking options when you’re going to watch the Timberwolves play at Target Center. The arena offers 38 parking lots with ramps that are distributed throughout the downtown section, offering a short walk to the stadium and bus and rail connections that take you directly to Target Center. There are almost 25,000 parking spaces available. The rates start at $15 per space on game day if you don’t mind a little longer walk or shuttle commute. This is the least expensive parking option. If you want to park in the covered stadium and have your vehicle close by, the cost of a single parking space for a regular sized car or truck is about $50. It saves you a lot of time in getting there and you know that your vehicle is close by if you need it and it gives you faster access if you’re in a hurry to get home after the game. On average, fans pay $25 for parking at a lot that is reasonably close to the stadium.

Food and beverages aren’t that expensive

We all know that the price of concessions at an NFL game is a lot higher than what you would pay for food at a local fast food eatery or a corner bar, but they’re not unreasonable since you’re only going to be splurging once. There are even vendors that offer budget priced food and drinks so everyone can enjoy themselves at the game. There are dozens of vendors selling domestic and craft beers, cocktails, water, soda, a wide range of stadium foods with hundreds of choices and prices to suit most budgets. You can buy an 8-ounce domestic beer for $4 with 16-ounce beer at $7 or below. Target Center offers the most reasonable prices for their brews when compared to other stadiums that charge up to $10 and $12 apiece.

You can get a bowl of chili for $4.95 or a traditional pizza for $8.95. Many of the meal offerings including tacos, pasta, sandwiches, soups, and other meal combinations cost between $8.95 all the way up to $15 if you have a huge appetite. When you compare the cost of Target Center’s concession prices, they’re way below most other NFL stadiums.

The bottom line

If you’re really on a budget, you can still go see the game. The average fan pays $78 for a ticket, $30 for a few beers and a meal and $25 for parking for a total of $133, but you can trim this down even further. It’s possible to split the parking fee with a buddy, purchase one of the lower priced tickets and cut the cost of entrance to as low as $16 and get by on a beer and a bowl of chili for just $9. You could find yourself on a budget at a Minnesota Timberwolves’ game for a mere $38 or even less. Now that you have an idea of the cost breakdown, you can build your own game day and if you’re not on a budget, then the sky is the limit, but it’s an opportunity to have the time of your life watching your favorite team play and enjoying all the fun, excitement and tempting stadium food for a day that you’ll remember forever.
