Miranda Cosgrove is a talented young singer and actress who has amassed a decent sized fortune at a very young age. She is best known for her appearance in the popular television series “iCarly,” which gave her singing and acting career a huge boost. Miranda was born in Los Angeles, California on May 14, 1993. In the Spring of 2019, she turned 26 years old. Her full name is Miranda Taylor Cosgrove. She goes by the name that her parents gave her at birth. Miranda begin her acting career when she was just 7 years old. She appeared in a variety of television commercials, which is how many child actors start out. She officially begins acting in 2001. She made her film debut in 2003 when she landed the part of Summer Hathaway in the movie “School of Rock” with famous comedian Jack Black.

After “School of Rock,” Miranda continued to appear in a variety of small roles in television series prior to getting her big break. She was cast in the Nickelodeon television series “Drake & Josh,” which was very popular with teens and tweens. She got the part of Megan Parker and this gave her a great deal of exposure to audiences who liked her character. This was a great opportunity for Miranda because it opened more doors for her in the acting business. One of them was her first lead role as the character Carly Shay in 2007. The title of the Nickelodeon teen situation comedy was “iCarly.” She appeared in the series for 5 years before the series that was based in Seattle, Washington, ended in 2012. It was reported in 2010, that Ms. Cosgrove was compensated about $180,000 per episode. Miranda went on to do a variety of other films as the voice of Margo in “Despicable Me” in 2010, followed by work in the sequels which came thereafter. She appeared in yet another sitcom on NBC titled “Crowded” in 2016, but the series didn’t last for long. In the meantime, Cosgrove had embarked on a music career starting in 2008. Her first professional singing project was in 2008, and it included four songs which Miranda performed from the soundtrack album for her television series “iCarly.” Her popularity as an actress and as a singer began to pick up and she released an extended play in 2009 titled “About You Now,” followed by her debut studio album in April of 2010, titled “Sparks Fly.” Her second extended play was released in 2011, titled “High Maintenance.” She went on to release the lead single “Dancing Crazy” from her EP in 2012. This song earned Cosgrove a great deal of attention because it was written by Avril Lavigne. The song made it to the US Billboard Adult Pop Songs, debuting at #40 and peaking at #100 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

She went to college

Although Miranda Cosgrove had a full plate with her singing and acting career, she still made time to go to college. She attended the University of Southern California. The talented young celebrity has made a series of very good choices in her life. Although her singing career seemed to fade away in 2012, she did enjoy six good years of popularity for it. She is still, however; pursuing her career as an actress.

Miranda’s income sources

In addition to the income that Miranda brought in from her singing career and her multiple releases, she made a higher than average income from her appearances in “iCarly.” This was perhaps one of her most significant achievements. She also earned money from the many television commercials that she appeared in including Mello Yello, and McDonald’s the fast-food franchise. Another voice acting job that she had was in the pilot episode of “Smallville,” as young Lana Lang in 2001.
