Armando Christian Perez, otherwise known as Pitbull, is Cuban-American born recording artist and entrepreneur. The 38-year-old ‘Mr. 305’, kicked off his music career by recording a mainstream performance, on Lil Jon’s 2002 solo album (Kings of Crunk). His debut album, M.I.A.M.I. was released in 2004. It was then followed by the release of his second album(El Mariel, 2006), third(Rebelution, 2009), and finally, his breakthrough hit single “I Know You Want Me”, #2 on US Billboard Hot 100.

However, ‘Mr. Worldwide’ has been under criticism from some rappers who’ve termed his rapping’ “shallow”, and also feel he’s arrogant. On the other hand, Pitbull has gracefully received the criticism and said it’s probably, because he likes to perceive situations differently, and thinks outside the box. To be honest, the criticisms haven’t held him back from laughing all the way to the bank, or have they? And, according to various sources, among them, CelebrityNetWorth, Pitbull has managed to achieve an $80 million net worth from – his album sales, business deals, endorsements, as well as world tours.

In addition, he earned $450,000 from his “Planet Pit” album alone and another $400,000 from “Global Warming” album. In 2011, Pitbull earned $6 million. The following year, he brought in $9.5 million, followed by $11million in 2013. Soon after, he pulled in $17 million in 2015, hence breaking his own financial record. Also, Pitbull has toured very many parts of America (Both East and West), all the way to Europe, and across the US. His tours have sold out arenas and stadiums. He even received his own wax figure from Madame Tussauds Orlando. That aside, Miami awarded him a key to the city. He, also, received a star in Celia Cruz plaza on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Pitbull makes $15 million from his album sales, and world tours, alone. Pitbull has a “significant” equity stake in the sandwich chain of restaurants. He purchased the shares in 2012, and even though the details were disclosed, it did give him expansion rights to some parts of the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Pitbull’s Globalization Radio (Launched in 2015)

Globaliztion radio is a Sirius XM Radio Station (plays current-based dance hits around the world). It’s co-owned by Pitbull and named after his 2014 album (Globalization). The customized radio station has 32.7 million subscribers (as of Jan. 2018). Also, it has three premium subscription packages; 80+ channels at $10.99 per month(XM Mostly Music), 140+ channels at $15.99(XM Select), and 150+ channels at $20.99(XM All Access). With, that number of subscribers and subscription packages, achieving that kind of net worth wouldn’t be such a difficult task, would it?

Jacavi Worldwide and Parlux Ltd

Pitbull has a premier fragrance brand that’s manufactured by Jacavi (supplier of proprietor fragrance). The fragrance is then, distributed by Parlux Ltd (one of the top-ranked fragrance companies in the world). Parlux is also the license holder for known fragrance brands of the likes of Jay-Z, and Rihanna.

Mr. 305 happens to be the majority shareholder, as well as, the spokesperson of this company.

Record Labels and Clothing lines

Pitbull, alongside P. Diddy, founded the Bad Boy Latino in, 2005. In 2009, he founded Mr.305 Inc. Record label. Austin Mahone, Fuego, El Cata, among artists are currently, recording with the label…

Endorsements – Pitbull has been involved in various endorsements since his breakthrough in music. Among them are;

  • Kodiak. Alongside, Rihanna, Drake, and Trey songs, Pitbull took part in the “So Kodak” campaign (2010), for Kodak brand (American Technology Company That Produces Camera-related products).
  • Bud Light (by Budweiser). Pitbull is involved in promoting Bud Light lines. It’s adverts showcase a dancing Pitbull (holding a bottle of Bud Light beer).
  • Wal-Mart (American multinational retail corporation).In 2012, Pitbull took part in Wal-Mart campaign. He agreed to visit (Kodiak, Alaska) store, which had received the most “likes” on Facebook. As of 2008, Wal-Mart has a net worth of US $204.52 billion.
  • DrPepper. He launched a partnership with soft drink giant Dr. Pepper, as part of “Vida 23” campaign, for which he recorded a song that later featured on his song “Armando”.

Pitbull has certainly defied so very many odds, to surpass his critics. He’s followed his own goals, seen the bigger picture in everything he does – to eventually, become a household name with a net worth of $80 million.
