10 Things You Didn't Know About Soner Aydemir

Soner Aydemir is a Turkish businessman and entrepreneur who is currently the chief executive officer of a company called Dream Games. The startup is a mobile gaming company that combines the creativity of designers and engineers to build high-quality mobile games for its customers. We were impressed with the skill and creativity of this young and talented entrepreneur. If you're not acquainted with Soner Aydemir, here are 10 things you probably didn't know about him you may find interesting.

1. He is also an owner of Dream Games

According to Crunchbase, Mr. Aydemir is not only an executive leader at Dream Games, but he is also a co-founder of the startup. He owns half of the company along with his partner. This is his first entrepreneurial venture, but it is going very well as Dream Games has taken off quickly and become successful.

2. He is a native of Istanbul, Turkey

According to his LinkedIn profile, Mr. Aydemir was born and raised in the country of Turkey. This is where he attended school. He attended Koc University in 2007 where he studied in the field of computer engineering. He earned his bachelor of science degree in computer engineering and graduated from the University in 2011. While he was there he received a merit scholarship for his outstanding performance as a student.

3. Soner Aydemir was an intern at Microsoft

Mr. Aydemir was approved by the Microsoft corporation to serve in an internship with the company. Microsoft has offices located throughout the globe. Soner interned at the tech giant at its Istanbul, Turkey location from July of 2011 through September 2011. This was an excellent opportunity that he took advantage of. It gave him hands-on experience with one of the most highly respected corporations in his chosen field. The three months gave him exposure to what it is like to work for a prestigious tech firm along with the culture of the company.

4. He was hired at Rocket Internet Turkey & MENA

In September of 2011, right after completing his internship at Microsoft, Mr. Aydemir was hired to work at a company called Rocket Internet Turkey & MENA. He was hired for the job of business operations specialist. This was a notch above entry-level. He worked for the company at it' Istanbul, Turkey location for one year, leaving in August of 2012.

5. He worked for Trendyol.com

Soner left his position at Rocket Internet Turkey & MENA for a better opportunity. He was hired at Trendyol.com - DSM Grup Danismanlik in September of 2012. He came on board with the firm as an Operations Analyst. This was a position that had more responsibility and it also allowed him to gain more advanced experience as a computer engineer. The company is located in Istanbul, Turkey. He remained in the position for five months before leaving for yet a better opportunity in January of 2013.

6. Soner joined the Peak team

In January of 2013, Soner was hired at a company in Istanbul, Turkey called Peak. He was hired as a marketing specialist. He served for 1 year and 8 months in the job before leaving when he advanced to the position of product owner in August of 2014 through January of 2019. In January of 2019, he was made product director. He stayed in the position for five months, leaving in May of 2019. Mr. Aydemir spent more than six years with Peak before deciding to leave the company to try his hand at entrepreneurship.

7. He plays his cards close to the vest

According to Mobidictum, Soner Aydemir does much of the speaking on behalf of Dream Games as a part of his job as CEO. When there is a press release or interview, he is the lead man, but when it came time to discuss the valuation of the company, he did not disclose the valuation. This is something that the executive leadership and advisor prefer to keep confidential at this time. He plays his cards close to the vest on some business topics.

8. Investor confidence is high in Aydemir and his team

Investors backing the mobile game developing company have a high level of confidence in the skills and abilities of Mr. Aydemir and his team. The company has grown to become the largest of its kind in the country of Turkey. Aydemir has a long track history of success with his previous employers. He led the production of games that were used by millions of players when he worked for Peak Games. He and the other software engineers have a solid reputation that promotes a sense of confidence in the investors who have provided just over $57 million so far.
