The 10 Most Admired Companies in the World

Disney

Being admired can be pretty important for companies. After all, it is proof that they are being run in the right way, which can be very fulfilling for a lot of people out there. However, it should also be noted that admiration comes with a wide range of very practical benefits, with examples ranging from positive perceptions that make it easier for them to sell their products and services to a much easier time bringing new talent on board for optimal performance. Naturally, some companies have been much more successful at becoming admired than others, which is something that changes on a regular basis. Here are 10 of the most admired companies that can be found in the entire world:

Alphabet

There are a number of reason why Alphabet might be admired. For example, it encompasses Google, which is one of the most powerful Internet service providers that can be found out there. Likewise, Alphabet is on the cutting edge of research for a number of interesting technologies such as machine intelligence, meaning that it possesses the potential to become bigger still. There are those who laud Alphabet because of its ethical stances as well, though it hasn't always been perfect in that regard.

Amazon

Recent times have seen a huge explosion in the online retail market. No corporation has benefited from this as much as Amazon, which has become so influential that its presence can move entire sectors.

Apple

There was a time when Apple was struggling. However, that changed with the launch of the iPod and the products that have followed in its footsteps. The basic concepts for these products were by no means new, but Apple's brand-building has been nothing short of remarkable to say the least.

Berkshire Hathaway

Berkshire Hathaway is headed up by Warren Buffett, who is one of the most respected investors in the entire world. Something that is particularly true because Buffett makes no secrets about his limitations in the field that he is famous in, which reveals a very cool, very rational mind that explains a fair amount about his successes. On top of this, Buffett is famous for his philanthropic work as well.

FedEX

FedEX might not be particularly exciting, but often-times, companies become admired because they combine solid performance in a number of respects such as leadership, innovation, customer relationship, and corporate governance. These things should be standard in the world of business, but they are so sought-after because they are really not.

JPMorgan Chase

JPMorgan Chase is admired because it is a solid performer with a sense of soberness to it. This is pretty important considering that the financial sector came a bit too close to careening off of a cliff in relatively recent times because of an overpowering compulsion to seek short-term profits with little regard for the long-term consequences.

Microsoft

PCs have faded in prominence compared to mobile devices. However, that still leaves Microsoft as an absolute colossus in its chosen field. Never mind the fact that the corporation has continued to expand its businesses with new products and services.

Netflix

Netflix is a pioneer in streaming services. Its position at the top is under threat from a wide range of media production companies that are either thinking about their own streaming services or have moved ahead with the process of launching their own streaming services. However, there can be no doubt that they remain the leading name in a very interesting field that is having a profound impact on how people consume their entertainment.

Starbucks

Starbucks has proven to be a huge success. In part, this is because Starbucks makes a constant effort to make its products and services not just more inviting but also more convenient for its customers. However, it should also be noted that Starbucks has put a fair amount of emphasis on social responsibility, which is something that sells very well with certain consumer segments.

Walt Disney

Disney has been releasing successful as well as not so successful movies for a very long time. However, between Marvel, Lucasfilms, Pixar, and its own movies, it has managed to secure a measure of dominance in the entertainment market that one can't help but respect if not necessarily like. On top of this, Disney is still expanding, as shown by its recent buyout of 20th Century Fox.
