The series is based on DC Comic's character and publication of the same name. It also stars Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez, and Rachael Harris. Although Fox canceled the series after three seasons, Netflix picked it up for the fourth season. Netflix renewed the series for a sixth and final season in 2020. Ellis reprised this role in an episode of The CW's 'The Flash' in 2019. The episode, 'Crisis on Infinite Earth,' was an Arrowverse crossover. While appearing in 'Lucifer', Tom Ellis appeared in two episodes of 'Queen America,' which is written by his second wife, and also provided the voice for Oscar Wilde in a 2018 episode of 'Family Guy.'
