How Tyson Fury Achieved a Net Worth of $30 Million

Tyson Fury is a British professional boxer. He burst into the scene in 2015 when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko and consequently held the IFB, WBO, IBO unified WBA, and the ring title simultaneously. To put this into perspective, only two other fighters, Floyd Patterson and Muhammad Ali have held the Ring Magazine title twice. That is some elite company to be in. In addition to this, he is the first heavyweight to hold the WBC, IBF, WBO, WBA, and The Ring titles. It should come as no surprise then that in 2020. ESPN, BoxRec, and TBRB all ranked him as the best active heavyweight. You probably know Tyson Fury from his boxing bouts, his swagger around the ring, and most recently, his comeback win against Deontay Wilder on February 22, 2020. However, not many understand and appreciate the gypsy king for the mogul he is. Granted, it is his fighting exploits that have not only created but also proliferated his public image. This still does not take away the fact that he is one of the richest boxers, and a closer look at his net worth will prove just that.

Tyson fury’s net worth

It is estimated that Tyson fury’s net worth is around 30 million dollars, as reported by Celebrity net worth. However, with the payout from the second Deontay Wilder fight being 28 million dollars minimum, this amount could be higher up. But how did he rack so much up?

Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury

The first matchup between these two rivals happened on December 1, 2018, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Both fighters were undefeated in their careers until this point, with Deontay Wilder holding the WBC heavyweight title. The match ended in a controversial fashion, in terms of the results, with Wilder winning. Notwithstanding, Tyson Fury was able to take home a whopping seven million dollars. After the first fight with Deontay Wilder fight, Tyson Fury signed a five-fight contract reported to be worth 80 million dollars.

Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder 2

After a long hiatus, Tyson Fury finally returned to boxing, and a rematch was scheduled, pitting him against Deontay Wilder. Up to this point, Deontay Wilder was still undefeated, and he held the WBC championship. The fight took place on February 22, 2020, over an entire year after the first, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. This time though, the fight didn’t have to be decided by points, as Tyson Fury won thought a technical knockout in the seventh round. As you would expect, the payout for this win was much larger. Tyson Fury went home with 28 million dollars, and that is not counting the money gained from advertisements and sponsorships.

WWE cameos

The World Wrestling Entertainment confirmed that Tyson Fury would fight with Braun Strowman at the WWE Crown Jewel, and the contract was signed on 15th October. The Gypsy King earned a nice paycheck from this appearance, some 15 million dollars. For anyone asking, yes, he did win the fight.

Car Collection

Based on Tyson Fury’s car collection, it is safe to say that he is indeed a motor vehicle aesthete. The car collection he possesses is a quintessence of his extravagant lifestyle. He owns several top-of-the-range vehicles, ranging from Ferraris to Rolls Royce. There are a couple of standout cars from his collection. Early on in his career, he had a Rolls Royce Phantom, which he had acquired for 464,000 dollars. Eventually, though, he sold it and bought a Mercedes S-class as the replacement. An addition to the list of cars he owned and then later sold is the Ferrari California, which he had to part with 206,000 dollars to obtain. Eventually, he sold it to a close friend.

At the apogee of the list of expensive cars he owns is the GTC, which in the current market is worth 387,000 dollars. Another nascent to his collection is another member of the Ferrari family, the Ferrari Portofino, a red beauty that cost him 214,000 dollars. The Rolls Royce Dawn is also another addition to his collection. This beautiful beast cost him 363,000 dollars. After his hiatus from boxing, The Gypsy King rewarded himself for his string of victories by buying another car, this time it was the Range Rover Sport SVR.

Book deals

I mean, is there anything this man cannot do? On November 14, 2019, he released his autobiography called Behind The Mask, published by Penguin Random House. The book was a huge success. It reached the top of the Amazon List of Bestsellers within just 24 hours of debuting. It is not known what he made from the book deal and the subsequent sales, but with the success it had, you can let your imagination run wild.

The Trilogy

Deontay Wilder activated his rematch clause, therefore setting into motion the preparation for the third Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury fight. The fight was to take place in July 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed. The date has still not been set. It has been reported that Tyson Fury could make as much as 100 million dollars from that fight alone, which is an astronomical figure, to say the least.

Tyson Fury’s House

The gypsy king, his wife, and their five children reside in a five-bedroom mansion in Morecambe, England. This piece of real estate cost him 709,000 dollars, is a bit higher compared to the average cost of surrounding houses in the area. This house is the most expensive on the street.

Other upcoming fights

On July 11th, 2020, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn announced that Tyson Fury and another boxer, Anthony Joshua, had agreed to fight each other twice. A requirement for this fight to happen was that Fury had to beat Deontay Wilder, and Joshua had to beat his opponent, Kubrat Pulev. With Joshua and Fury being two of the best fighters in the game, it can be correctly suggested that the two men will walk away with a nice paycheck, irrespective of whether they win or lose. So, Tyson Fury acquired his 30 million net worth mainly from the payments he received from his boxing career.
