A Closer Look at the 2022 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S

2022 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S

Harley-Davidson has always had a reputation for designing bikes that stand out. It's true, not every motorcycle rider is a fan of the company, but they certainly have more than their fair share. As far as the individuals who do consider themselves fans of Harley-Davidson, it's hard to find the more dedicated group of individuals. People have a tendency to stick with what they know they can trust and that certainly is the case here. As a direct result, a lot of people were happy when they recently found out that Harley-Davidson would be bringing back the Low Rider S for 2022. If you're curious about what this bike is really all about, it's time to take a closer look so you can see for yourself.

Appealing Looks

There are a lot of things about this particular motorcycle that are appealing. Obviously, the first thing that you're likely to notice when you look at it is that it has an appearance that's designed to get your attention. It's a rather compact bike, yet the company didn't skimp on anything during its design. Therefore, you really couldn't accurately call it a stripped-down version, but it certainly doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of a touring bike, either. As a matter of fact, it seems to have a bit of mystery to it. Apparently, this was something that the company did intentionally in order to get more people interested in this particular model. Recently, they held a press conference to announce all of the models that they would be manufacturing throughout the coming year. For the models that were being discontinued, they simply had no news whatsoever. That caused people to start scrambling in order to find out whether or not a certain model would be continued and if so, why there was no news about it. As far as this particular model is concerned, they commented that it wasn't discontinued and more news would be forthcoming at the end of January 2022. Aside from that, they largely left the topic alone. That action had exactly the effect that they had hoped it would have and it got people talking. As more interest in this particular model was generated than would have likely existed otherwise, the company started coming forward with details about it. They even created a brand new look for it, just for the 2022 model year. At first glance, it genuinely looked like it had been completely blacked out but the company says that it's a very special paint job, a dark gray that is supposed to be a nod to their roots.

Power to Spare

The bike also boasts one of the more powerful engines used by Harley-Davidson, a 117Ci monster called a Milwaukee V-Twin. If you like to go fast, then this is definitely a way to get the job done, as the bike has a top speed of 120 miles an hour. That's definitely enough to get the attention of almost anyone who loves to ride motorcycles. However, the company doesn't exactly stop there. After all, it would be a mistake to automatically assume that the only thing going for it is its ability to go fast. The truth of the matter is that this bike is definitely the total package, at least as far as many people are concerned. It's fast, there's no doubt about that. That said, it's also responsive in the way that it handles and it's comfortable to ride. Truth be told, a lot of people that have come to love this particular motorcycle would even go as far as saying that it's just as comfortable to ride as any touring bike they've ever been on. That's saying quite a lot when you're talking about something that really isn't designed to be ridden over vast distances. It's also worth noting that the bike has plenty of stopping power, thanks to its oversized brakes. As previously mentioned, many people consider it to be the total package, which is precisely why so many individuals became concerned when the company was announcing their plans for 2022 models and there was nothing forthcoming about this particular model whatsoever.

Made Just for You

Another thing that makes this particular bike stand out is that Harley-Davidson is allowing you to customize it, at least to a certain extent. You may not be able to purchase a bike that is fully custom made, but there are some definite advantages to a relatively new program that the company is trying where you can order a particular model with certain parts that have been predetermined to go well with that particular motorcycle. It gives you a certain amount of control over exactly what type of finished product you get. More importantly, it gives you the opportunity to have more influence over the way that your bike turns out. If you want a particular color or certain styling with the letters, then you can ask for these changes to be made. By the same token, there are certain changes that you can make with regard to some parts and accessories that would allow you to make the bike yours in the truest possible sense.

At the end of the day, it's all about getting something that you truly enjoy riding. That's why you ride motorcycles in the first place. If it was not for the enjoyment of feeling the wind in your hair or being able to maneuver in places where a car simply cannot go, most people would probably drive a fully-enclosed automobile where they have full control over their environment with regard to controlling the weather, the temperature, so on and so forth. Most people that ride motorcycles do so because it's more economical, it takes up less space and more importantly, it makes them feel free. Obviously, you want a bike that's going to address all of those issues in a positive light. There's no question that this one is capable of doing exactly that. If you're looking for a new motorcycle that will leave an impression on you in all the best ways possible, then this is one that is definitely worth checking out.
