A Closer Look at the New Nike Air Max 720

Nike is at it again and they’re set for the new release of the anxiously anticipated Air Max 720 line. If you’re a fan of the model you’ll be happy to know that the release of the new line is just around the corner. The collection has been a huge hit with wearers who have high expectations from the brand and are looking forward to the latest iteration of their favorite sneaker model with new features and colorways. Here is what we know about the latest Air Max 720 collection so far.

New construction

We first heard of the new shoes in September of 2018. They open a new chapter for the line with the construction based on the DNA of the Air Max 270 yet a new twist in the construction. The foot will be allowed to rest on the platform in a secure and snug fashion. This is supposed to enhance comfort and stability.

Changes in design

The 720 isn’t going with the over-sized Swoosh that we’ve seen in some of the other new releases. It’s keeping things at a minimalist perspective and going for a unique retro-futuristic look. It’s amazing how the designers can impart both of these themes into one design simultaneously.

Performance qualities

Nike has followed through on its plan to deliver more Air with the new 720 line. You’ll see the same cushioning platform with its transparent and bulbous shape for comfort and a generous pumping of air inside. The new lines are more finely tuned and highly responsive to running motions. They’ve taken special care in the placement of the components in target zones to achieve the ultimate in performance. It’s been an ongoing evolution and this edition will feature Nike’s tallest airbags in the history of the Air.

Release dates for the new 720 lineup

The Northern lights for men is slated to be released on February 1, 2019. The retail price for the shoe will be $180.

The Northern Lights Day for women will be released on February 1, 2019 at a retail price of $180.

Total Eclipse will be released on February 28, 2019 at a retail price of $180.

The Nike 720 Sunset for women will be released on February 21 2019 at a retail price of $180.

The Desert (unisex) is scheduled for a February 28, 2019 release date at a retail price of $180.

Pink Sea (unisex) will be released on February 28, 2019 for a retail price of $180.
