How To Get Your Hands on Adidas X South Park Towelie Shoes

Adidas X South Park Towelie Shoes

It’s not at all uncommon for people to completely fall in love with a particular brand of shoe, especially when they do special drops to commemorate a certain day or event. In the case of Adidas, many of their products have long been sought after by consumers, even to the point of selling out the same day that something is released. That is more or less the case with the South Park Towelie shoe, a special terry cloth design that was released to commemorate the 20th of April. If you’re still wondering how you can get your hands on a pair, you should take heart in the fact that all hope is not lost.

The Shoe

If you’re wondering what the shoes are all about, you’re probably not one of the people who has been clamoring to get your hands on a pair since they were released months ago. If that’s the case, that’s okay. Truth be told, a lot of people didn’t even know that she was being dropped on that day because for some reason, Adidas kept the whole thing rather quiet. Who knows, maybe it has something to do with the fact that it was associated with marijuana and they were afraid it might stain their company brand. Maybe it has nothing to do with that whatsoever. Whatever the reason, they didn’t exactly make a big marketing campaign for the shoes, yet they still sold out within about a day. Imagine how fast they could have sold out if they would have actually pushed the product. Anyway, that’s water under the bridge. In case you’re not familiar with the shoe, it features a terry cloth design on top with leather pinstriping and a leather sole, finished in purple. It’s a really cute shoe and it’s designed to reflect a character called Towelie that showed up on South Park on a fairly regular basis. The character was apparently made in a lab and really liked cannabis, hence the reason for naming the shoe after him. Just in case you’re further unaware, the 20th of April, or 4/20 as it is also known, is a day that celebrates the use of cannabis, hence the reason that the shoe was dropped on this date.

Where Can You Buy It?

Now that you’re caught up to speed, the bigger question still remains. Where can you buy a pair for yourself? It’s not like you can just waltz into a store and purchase them, as they haven’t been available in stores for months. You can’t even do the thing that everybody does when they don’t know where else to purchase something because they’re not available on Amazon, either. What choice does that leave you? Fortunately, there are a few options. You just have to know where to look. Suffice it to say that the overwhelming majority of your search is going to be conducted online. In fact, your search will probably be almost 100% online. There are some places that are still listing a few of these items for sale. One of them is farfetch.com, which is listing the shoe for $461. Another site, GOAT, is listing them for $278 and still another, Stockx, says they have a pair available for $208, although the size listed is a 4 ½. Unless you have extremely small feet (or you’re buying shoes for your child), that last option may not be a good one for you. If none of these options really work for you, it’s okay. There’s still something else you can do.

More Places to Buy

So, what are you supposed to do if all of the aforementioned options don’t work for you? There’s always one more place that you can check, and that is the online retail hub that has been allowing people to get their hands on collectibles that they can’t find anywhere else for years, eBay. In fact, there are over 20 pairs of these shoes currently available on eBay for a wide variety of different prices. At the moment, most of them are available for sale for somewhere in the neighborhood of $325. That might seem like a lot of money for a pair of terry cloth shoes, but if you really want to get your hands on a pair of these particular shoes, you’re probably going to have to shell out some cash. If you’re not convinced of that fact, consider the information contained in the following paragraph.

How Much Will it Cost You?

The short answer to this question depends on where you get the shoes. Every online platform that deals with reselling this type of item is listing them for a wide range of different prices. Some of the more rock bottom deals are in the neighborhood of $250 while other sizes that are more difficult to come by are commanding a much higher price. In fact, you can expect to pay as much as $800 if you need an especially large pair, say anything over a size 10. That might seem like a staggering amount of money, but it all comes back to the age-old thing you learned about in high school economics, supply and demand. If people know that there is a big enough demand for something that’s hard to come by, they’re going to take advantage of it by charging as much as they possibly can because they know that somewhere out there, they will find a buyer for it. When it’s all said and done, you have to be the one to decide whether or not you’re willing to pay enough money to get your hands on a pair of these shoes. If you really want a pair, it probably won’t seem like such a big deal to show out $300 or even $800 for the perfect pair. On the other hand, if you’re casually perusing the internet in order to find a unique gift for someone, you might decide fairly quickly that this one is a bit too pricey. It all depends on what your idea of expensive is and whether or not it’s worth it to get your hands on a pair of shoes. At least now, you know where you can get your hands on a pair if you choose to do so.
