His company uses data on what the individual has previously done in the past and makes projections on what they may be able to accomplish if matched with the right company.

9. He is the Co-Founder of Bloomreach

Ashutosh was the chief technology officer and a co-founder at Bloomreach. Bloomreach is a digital marketing and e-commerce platform that was started in 2009. The company combines the power of customer-based data with the scale of AI and predictive analytics in making critical decisions.

8. He Was Awarded the ECE Young Alumni Achievement Award

Ashutosh was awarded the Young Alumni Achievement Award in 2013. He was given the award by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his outstanding professional contributions to the machine learning field and its applications in optimizing search engines. The recognition was well-deserved because he had spent years working on research related to machine learning and AI.

7. He Grew up in India

Although he is now an accomplished CEO and researcher, Garg grew up in one of the rural towns in India. In an interview that was posted on the Medium website, Ashutosh Garg revealed the thoughts that were going through his mind while he was assessing the different computer science and machine learning programs offered by different universities across the globe. According to Ashutosh Garg, when he applied for the machine learning program, he believed that out of all the programs in the world, the US had the best opportunities. His PhD professor helped him adapt to the different environment and culture in the US.

2. Recipient of Best Thesis Award

Garg was the recipient of the best thesis award at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), where he studies his undergraduate program. IITD is one of the Indian Institutes of technology developed to focus on research and development in different areas. It is also one of the best higher learning institutions in India. The award Garg was offered proved his commitment to his studies and his perception of education as his only hope for success.

1. Recipient of IBM Research Fellowship

Garg was the recipient of the IBM Research Fellowship in 2003. The IBM research fellowship award is offered to exceptional PhD students who strive to make their mark in the world by developing disruptive technologies. Common focus areas for the award include hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, machine learning, and quantum computing. Garg’s attainment of this award proved that he had worked hard in his PhD thesis, as the award is only offered to a few students each year.
