10 Benefits of Having an Elan Credit Card

Owning an Elan credit card has multiple benefits that you may not be aware of. It’s difficult to find a lot of information about Elan Financial services online because it’s actually a subsidiary under US Bank, but it’s a card well worth checking out. Here are 10 benefits that you might find appealing for your particular lifestyle and financial needs.

1. They offer five different credit card options

Elan offers a variety of cards to choose from. This makes it easy to find one of the options that most closely meets your financial needs and preferences. They offer a Platinum, a Bonus Rewards, a Bonus Rewards Plus, a Travel Rewards and a higher end Cash Rewards card.

2. No annual fee for the Elan Platinum Credit Card

Many major credit card companies charge you an annual fee just for the privilege of owning one. This isn’t the case with the Elan Platinum. There are two options available for this card. You can opt for the standard personal credit card or they also offer a business edition for people who need a company credit card.

3. Bonus Rewards

The Bonus Rewards card give you one point for every dollar you spend on purchases made with the card. A bonus of one quarter of a point for every dollar spent is included in the rewards program associated with this Elan card.

4. Additional Bonus Rewards

The Bonus Rewards Plus Credit card through Elan rewards cardholders with 1.5% on every purchase made. This option gives you an additional half percent over the other options. There is a $50 annual fee charged for owning the Bonus Rewards Plus card.

5. Cash Rewards

The Cash Rewards American Express credit card offered by Elan gives you 3% back when you purchase gas and 2% back on purchases made at the supermarket with the card. There is no annual fee charged for owning the American Express by Elan. It’s always nice when you can earn money back from shopping at the grocery store or filling your tank with fuel.

6. Travel Rewards

You can earn travel rewards through the Elan American Express. This card gives you 3 points for every dollar spent on airline travel and two points for ever dollar you spend using the card for restaurant and hotel expenses. This card does come with a fee of $95 annually.

7. There is no cap on bonus points

You can earn as many bonus points as you want without hitting a ceiling. This is a great benefit because so many card companies place strict limits and caps on the amount of bonus points you can collect at one time. This feature makes it easier to save up bonus points for something you really want to purchase or experience.

8. Easy account access

You can access your account with ease online or through a mobile device. Elan credit cards are connected to a secure account server that protects your information and gives you convenient access for checking account balances, making payments and viewing your statement. You can even make balance transfers in a few easy clicks.

9. Receive mobile alerts

You can go into your account settings to receive alerts that remind you when payments are due, if there’s been activity on your account and much more. This makes ownership more secure and convenient for you. They have a top rated mobile app or you can access your account via computer or by telephone.

10. Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver

The travel edition makes it possible for you to receive free rental auto coverage at no extra cost when you use your card to pay for the rental fees. You’re covered in the event of a collision or theft while the rental is in your possession. There are also some other emergency services available 24/7 for travelers, but not all of them are completely covered under the waiver.
