After working all day, it is best to get a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed as it revitalizes the body for the next day. Beds offer so much solace and comfort that we spend one-quarter of our lives in them relaxing, sleeping, reading and going on the Internet. It is easy to imagine how humans quickly realized the importance of a good night’s sleep and eventually proper bedding. This allowed beds to enter into the luxury market.

However, do you actually get a better night’s sleep in a bed constructed for the uber-wealthy? That question cannot be answered without trying out a standard bed versus the luxurious option. In most instances, the bed is not more comfortable enough to warrant the price. Instead, it is the materials used, the handcrafted construction, and technological inclusions that make a luxurious bed that much more lavish than its standard counterparts.

The most luxurious beds combine fashion, art, technology, design and beauty that justify such as significant price tag. However, there are enough people on earth that want the finest furniture available, including their bed set.

The following is a list of five luxury beds costing over $100K.

These heavy-duty magnets are required to keep the bed floating at all times. There are also strong wires that are attached to the mattress, bed and walls to ensure you don’t float away while sleeping.
