The Geneva brand Franck Muller has authorized a new release. The Franck Muller V50 Vanguard Tourbillon Minute Repeater is a watch that will most certainly join the ranks of the elite in World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie. The new release has prompted a full review of the brilliant example, which is scheduled to make its grand and official entrance into the world in January of 2018 at the Watchland site, located in Genthod, nestled comfortably on the shores of Lake Geneva. We believe that a sneak peek and early overview of its magnificence, fitting. The excellence of the Geneva Franck Muller brand is revealed in the latest edition to the elite collection. Not yet available for purchase, but peaking on the horizon, is the Franck Muller V50 Vanguard Tourbillon Minute Repeater.
For those of you who find it appealing to the senses, the new example offers an open dial aesthetic that proudly presents its not so hidden treasure with the tourbillon displayed at the 6 o'clock position. The visibility of the tourbillon offers an impressive vision of the complication in plain sight. This example presents the combination of two complications of highly complex intensity, for the more discriminating collectors and enthusiasts who demand the finest in both form and function. Even more revealing is the architectural construction. Of course, the signature feature of the tonneau shaped case has been maintained. The addition of thee skeletonized movement offers the true complexity of the calibre within plain view.
Aesthetics draw the eyes in for a closer examination of the inner workings. The movement relies on a 2.5 Hz slow balance wheel and a total of 389 internal components which work together with harmonious precision for accurate time-keeping that does not skip a beat. The movement type is manual winding mechanical. The 33 jewels movement offers a power reserve of up to 60 hours, safely housed within the tonneau shaped case.
High complications in the tradition of high-end luxury
The V50 Vanguard is 36.5 mm by 6.91 mm. The case measures 55.90 mm x 46 mm in length with a height of 13.70 mm, in a lovely 18 carat white gold material for the case. The crown is like-wise crafted in 19 carat white gold material to match the case for a continuity in design and form. The remarkable functions include hours, minutes and the much desired tourbillon placed at thee six o' clock position. It also includes a minute repeater, and winding stem brace with two positions.
No ordinary crystal would be acceptable for the V50 Vanguard. Capping the glory of this example is a curved sapphire crystal. The material offers the highest in protection and visibility. Clear and clean protection that allows you to easily read the dial and more comfortably view the complications displayed for all to see.
The strap of this new wristwatch edition is crafted of the finest hand sewn alligator leather featuring a pin buckle. It complements the aesthetics of the watch, tying the aesthetics together with careful attention to every detail. It offers a masculine appeal that is a bit on the understated side, yet important for the purpose of setting the tone and as a useful accent that points the direction of the gaze backwards to the remarkable dial.
The Franck Muller V50 Vanguard Tourbillon Minute Repeater is the latest masterpiece in a long line of fine horological examples produced from the Franck Muller watchmakers. It will carry forth the traditions of excellence in line with the signature of the maker, with a few new additions. It was time for the company to present a new time piece featuring wonderfully complex complications. There has yet to be a discussion of selling price, or a number placed on the amount of examples which are scheduled to be produced and released. We expect a limited manufacture number, but it's early in the process and we expect to know more as the time for the official debut of the new watch draws closer. For now, a sneak peek is all that we get, but it's enough to whet the appetite for the grand unveiling. This event is scheduled to occur within just a few short weeks. Until then, we all wait together until more is revealed to the public.
