How Much Does It Cost to Attend a San Jose Sharks Game?

If you'd like to go watch the San Jose Sharks play live at SAP center, the costs are well worth the value in exchange for the fun and excitement you'll experience at a live match. There's just something about the smell of the arena that makes you swear that ice has its own aroma. Pair that with the smell of the savory arena food and the thrill of the Hockey match and it's a winning combination. The prices are reasonable when you compare it with other sports such as NFL games. If you've stayed home to catch the match because of the cost of attending live, we have some information that might surprise and delight you.

The cost of the tickets is decent

Tickets to see catch a live San Jose Sharks match starts at $38 per ticket if you're buying a single. If you opt for a season pass you'll be spending as little as $20 a game and you can go whenever you want. The average attendee spends $53 on a ticket the range is from $38 all the way up to $750 for premium row 1 seating. The truth of the matter is that any seat in the house will give you a view of the game.

Parking isn't that bad either

You can reserve a parking pass online or buy it when you arrive at the parking lot and there are a lot of spaces to choose from, but we recommend arriving early. The arena opens its parking lot two and a half hours before the game starts.

Prices for the Barracuda lot are $10 per spot and you need to pay in cash. If you want to park at SAP Center to see the Sharks, the cost is $25. This is about half of what NFL stadiums usually charge. The benefits of parking at the stadium are being closer to your vehicle so you don't have to walk to and from the arena. If you don't mind the walk, you could find a parking space at a lot a few blocks away for somewhere between $10 and $15, but the less expensive spots that are closest always go first so you have to be an early bird to get one.

There are lots that charge $15 -20 cash only at Almaden Financial Plaza Garage on 350 West Santa Clara Street and it's just a 7 minute walk from the arena. Comerica Garage is the same distance and it's located at 51-61 North Almaden Boulevard. Stephen's Meat Lot is at 105 South Montgmoery Street and it's just an 8 minute walk. The closer lot is at 374 West Santa Clara Street and it's just a 4 minute walk. The average fan pays $25 for the convenience of hassle-free parking at the stadium.

Concessions are also affordable

The cost of food and beverages at SAP Center are about like most other arenas and stadiums. They're higher than what you would pay at a fast food restaurant or a bar if you want to buy a beer, but this is expected and the costs aren't so high that they're going to break the bank. You can get a draft beer for $12.99 a cup or if you're really thirsty and you want to go with the large size, it's $19.25 for a premium or a craft beer. The domestics are cheaper. They offer some for as low as $9.25. If you're hungry you can plan on spending between $8.95 and $15 on food, depending on your appetite. They have specialty dogs, pizza, barbecue and a lot of other foods and snacks to choose from. They also sell water and soft drinks. Fans spend an average of $35 for food and a couple of beers

The total cost of attending a San Jose Sharks game

The average cost of attending a San Jose Sharks game is $53 for the ticket, $25 for parking and $35 for concessions. This amounts to $103. If it's more than what you want to spend, there are ways to see the match, park and enjoy the stadium food for less. You could go with the cheaper ticket for $38, split the cost of parking with a buddy for $12.50 and cut back on the concessions with a beer and a dog for $20 or less. In all you could have the time of your life for as little as $70 or less.
