How Much Does It Cost to Attend a Washington Redskins Game?

How much do you think it would cost if you wanted to go watch a Washington Redskins game in person? This is a fairly popular team so you're probably thinking that it would cost you a lot of money, even if you don't buy the best seats and you try to be reasonable with your budget in every other aspect. That being said, the cost of tickets in the NFL varies a great deal. The cost can vary from one team to the next and in some cases, they even vary by several hundred dollars from one game to the next. Therefore, it can sometimes be hard to know how much you need to have set aside in order to truly enjoy a game. Fortunately, you've come to the right place and you can use this information to figure out how much money it will really cost you to go see that game.

The Price of Tickets

This just happens to be one of those stadiums that varies a lot when it comes to ticket prices. If you plan on going to see a game featuring the Washington Redskins, you should know right off the bat that it's going to cost you a fairly good chunk of change. Typically, even the seats that aren't that great go for a little more than $100 per person. If you want really good seats, you're looking at spending slightly more than $500 each. Therefore, a reasonable person might assume that decent seats would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 to $250 each. If you are on a tight budget, there's certainly nothing wrong with springing for the $100 seats, but the reality of your situation is this. If your budget is really that tight, it might not be the best time to go see a game where you have to spend upwards of $100 for a single seat in first place. Of course, the choice is yours.

Concessions

It's hard to sit through a football game that can go anywhere from three and a half hours to almost five hours without plenty to eat and drink. Of course, some people need more sustenance than others. If you're happy with getting just a couple of sodas and a bag of popcorn, you can probably get out of the concession stand for about $20. On the other hand, if you plan on eating three or four times while you're there and you want to drink everything in sight, that concession stand can end up costing you $100 all by itself. Chances are, you don't really want to bring $100 per person for concessions so you can find other ways to cut down on the cost like stopping along the way somewhere to eat or taking sandwiches in the car. It depends on how you feel about eating at the game. For some, it just isn't a full-fledged experience if they don't eat while they're there and for others, it's not that important at all.

Parking

You can bet that if you manage to land a parking spot in the designated parking area for the stadium, you're going to pay for it. That parking is about $35 and there is absolutely no guarantee that you'll actually be able to park there in the first place. The parking lot is actually nowhere near big enough to handle all the cars so if you get there late, you might find yourself struggling to find a place to park at all. That also means that any place you do park is going to cost you more than $35.

Additional Costs

The big thing here is Souvenirs but you also have to factor in other things like fuel prices. All of that will be depending on how many souvenirs you buy and how far you're traveling. the most important thing you need to remember is that you should add all of this up in order to get a realistic cost and don't be surprised and those numbers start to add up very quickly.

When it's all said and done, it's not outside of the realm of possibility for an afternoon watching a Washington Redskins football game to cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $500. Even if you do choose the cheaper seats, you're still going to be paying a lot of money in the end. If you want better seats, that price can double fairly quickly. That being said, if you've always wanted to go see one of these games, you shouldn't let the cost stop you. However, it might be a good idea to save up for a season before you go.
