Hugh Grant was born in London on September 9, 1960. His primary education took place at Hogarth Primary School, then St Peter’s Primary School, and then Wetherby School. Between 1969 and 1978, Grant attended Latymer Upper School. In 1979, Hugh Grant was awarded the Galsworthy scholarship to New College in Oxford, where he studied English literature. While at university, Grant became interested in drama and joined the Oxford University Dramatic Society. With the exception of the film from his time at university, Grant did not appear in a film again until 1987, and his career during that period focused on stage and television work. In 1987, he had roles in the films ‘Maurice’ and ‘White Mischief.’ The following year, Grant landed many more film roles, and he appeared in ‘Rowing with the Wind’ ‘The Lair of the White Worm,’ ‘The Dawning,’ ‘The Bengali Night,’ and ‘Nocturnes.’ Although he continued to appear in many films throughout the late 1980s, it wasn’t until the early 1990s that he began to rise in prominence. Grant attracted more attention after appearing in the 1993 film ‘The Remains of the Day’ and gained further popularity for his performance in the 1995 films ‘Sense and Sensibility’ and ‘Restoration.’ At this time, Grant became known for his roles in period films. However, his role in the 1994 romantic comedy film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ was the film that first made him noticeable as a comedic actor. For his performance in this film, Hugh Grant won the Golden Globe for Best Actor- Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and a British Film Award for Best Actor. Throughout the remainder of the 1990s and the 2000s, Grant became known as one of the top romantic comedy actors in the world. Some of his most famous films from these decades include ‘Notting Hill,’ ‘Mickey Blue Eyes, ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary,’ Two Weeks Notice,’ About a Boy,’ ‘Love Actually,’ and ‘Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.’

Grant’s success continues into the 2010s. In 2012, Grant took on his first voice role when he provided the voice for the Pirate Captain in ‘The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!’ The same year, the actor played six different roles in ‘Cloud Atlas.’ Between 2014 and 2019, Grant’s films included ‘The Rewrite,’ ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,’ ‘Florence Foster Jenkins,’ ‘Paddington 2,’ and the Gentlemen.’ Hugh Grant also has some upcoming projects underway. The first is ‘Five Eyes,’ which is very different from his previous work as it is a spy film. It also stars Jason Statham, Bugsy Malone, Aubrey Plaza, Cary Elwes, and Josh Hartnett. The film is written and directed by Guy Ritchie, and it is currently in post-production and set for release in 2022. It has not yet been announced what role Grant plays in this film. Meanwhile, Grant had resumed a relationship with Tinglan Hong, who gave birth to their son, Felix, in December 2012. However, Grant then resumed his relationship with Eberstein. They went on to have a daughter in December 2015 and another daughter in March 2018. Grant and Eberstein married in May 2018. The couple and their children live in a six-bedroom semi-detached home in an exclusive street in Chelsea, London. According to National World, Grant paid £17.5 million for the property, which is just under $24 million.
