2. He is influential in the biotech industry

James McArthur served on many boards of directors as an advisor, in addition to working as a consultant. Mr. McArthur was a member of Friedrich's Ataxia Research Alliance Advisory Board. he also served on the T-Cure Biosciences board of directors in the position of director from April 2020 through September 2020. He shared his opinions with the boards, advising leaders in financial and strategic planning.

3. James McArthur has founded two companies

McArthur is also a serial entrepreneur. He is the founder of a company called Tiburio Therapeutics from 2018 through 2019. He is an actual scientist who understands the challenges and promises that biotech companies can offer the world. He served as a senior scientist for a company called Somatix Therapy. The biotech organization is engaged in the research and development of proprietary processes for the genetic modification of cells. The Alameda, California company was acquired by Cell Genesys.

5. He is a McGill University graduate

McArthur enrolled in higher education in 1980. He spent four years working toward his first college degree. He earned his bachelor of science degree in 1984 from McGill University where he studied biochemistry.

6. James McArthur earned his doctorate

After completing his BSC in biochemistry, McGill continued his education at McGill University in the Ph.D. program. He attended the graduate school from 1984 through 1989, graduating with his doctoral degree in Molecular Oncology. His studies focused on identifying genetic elements in leukemia that cause gene instability and amplification.

7. James McArthur has years of post-doctoral education to his credit

According to his LinkedIn profile, McArthur continues with post-doctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1991. He researched T helper cell activation IL-6 signals. James McArthur not only earned his doctoral degree, but he has also engaged in formal studies beyond that level of degree in pursuit of his passion for unlocking the mysteries that hold the potential to cure some of the most deadly diseases that plague mankind. In addition to the other two companies McArther founded, he also established a biotech company called Cydan. He was not only the founder of the business, but he also served as the president of research and development from September 2017 through August 2020. Cydan is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The biotech company focuses on the development of therapies to treat rare diseases. As the founder of Cydan, McArthur was also the founder of three other companies that launched under the umbrella of Cydan. Vtesse, Imara, and Tiburio conducted similar research and development in separate areas of the biotech field with related benefits in the field of genetics. Cydan served as the accelerator company for the launch, growth, and development of the other three. He is truly a serial entrepreneur.

9. James McArthur is a well-balanced person

James McArthur has a lot going on in his professional life. It's apparent by reading his educational and career history that he has been busy with studies and research for most of his adult life.
