Orsi’s Italian Bakery and Pizzeria

When you’ve been making pizza for generations, you could only expect perfection from every bite. The recipes here have been honed to excellence, and the experience of taste here is something that you really can’t get anywhere else. There’s only one Orsi’s, and it’s in Omaha—plain and simple. The pizza here is extremely traditional. The toppings are traditional, and the methods are traditional. However, Orsi’s does sell a unique double crusted pizza called the Goudarooni that’s a whole other experience altogether. Eat a pie, and make sure you take one to go home. We guarantee the pizza you take home won’t last the night.

Pitch Coal-Fire Pizzeria

Pitch is an impressive contemporary Italian restaurant that features some pretty unique dining menus. The pizza menu alone is worth reading straight through. You’ll find things on there that you won’t find anywhere else. For example, Pitch sells a Thai pizza that has a special peanut sauce. They also have a Chorizo pie that has a black bean base and roasted poblanos. No matter which pie you order here, you’ll appreciate the experience, the flavors, and most of all, the creativity behind it all. Every single slice here is thoroughly envisioned and put together before it makes it onto your table. Pitch is more than just a pizzeria in Omaha; it’s definitely a memorable experience to be had in the city.

Zio’s Pizzeria

If you’re going to Zio’s, you better come hungry because you’re going to want to eat. This Omaha pizzeria has a pizza menu that’ll challenge your imagination and spike your interest. It’s a good combination of both conventional and contemporary pizza flavors. Some of their best specialty pizza options include the Chicken and Feta Combo, the New York Deluxe, and the El Taco. Don’t forget about their vegetarian options either. You might be surprised at how much you’d like the Zucchini Supreme. All in all, Zio’s Pizzeria offers a great pizza option in Omaha, and the best part is that they’ve got a location right in the heart of historical Old Market in downtown.

La Casa Pizzeria

There’s a reason why La Casa tags their brand as “Legendary Pizza & Pasta.” Of course, you’d have to try it to believe it. They have a fairly traditional pizza menu, and it’s really difficult to make traditional stand out. La Casa stands out easily from the competition simply because of the way they handle their ingredients and the way their flavors just blend together. Make sure to try one of our favorites, the Pollo Carciofi Bianco. That’s garlic cream sauce with garlic chicken, tomatoes, mozzarella, and some lovely artichoke hearts. If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, skip the restaurant and follow their food truck for a completely different experience. Either way you go, you’ll end up wanting to get a copy of their takeout menu and catering menu as well—for future reference.

Dante

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You can definitely have pizza in a fine dining experience, and if you’re in Omaha, there’s only one place where you can get that: Dante. Apart from offering a different level of dining experience, Dante is also the only restaurant in Omaha that specializes in an authentic Neapolitan menu. It’s an experience in Omaha that you’re not going to want to miss. You’ll want to spend enough time here to sample plenty of antipasti before you dive into several main courses. If you can’t handle it all in one sitting, that’s okay as well. You can always come back for more.
