He signed a contract with LaFace Records and the album made it to the Billboard Top R&B and Hip-Hop Albums with a peak at number 25, then landing at number 167 on the Billboard 200. This was an amazing feat for a teenager who was still in high school. He didn’t abandon his studies because he was achieving success in the music industry. He continued on and graduated from high school. While still in school, he continued to refine his skills and to work on his next album release. In 1997, the second album titled “My Way” was released with hits including “Nice and Slow” and “You Make Me Wanna.” When the album debuted it hit the fifteen position of Billboard 200. Usher Raymond IV is an outstanding singer, but that isn’t all that he’s capable of. In addition, he’s an amazing dancer, songwriter and he’s also a record producer. This is a fun fact about him that many people are not aware of. He pays his success forward by helping new talent to get their start in the music industry.

He’s also a Grammy Award Winner. In 2013, Usher won a Grammy for Best R&B Performance, and he was nominated for the Image Awards Outstanding Song in 2015.
