1. He is a citizen of Singapore

Serguei Beloussov was born in St. Petersburg, Russia on August 2, 1971. This makes him 48 years old, but he isn’t a citizen of Russia. He moved to Singapore in 1994 and he enjoyed living in the country so much that he became a citizen of Singapore in 2001. He was born to a Jewish family.

2. He’s highly educated

Early in his career, Beloussov studied at the 45th Physics-Mathematics School. He continued with his education enrolling at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He completed his academic degree in physics, earning his bachelor’s degree in 1992. He went on to pursue his master’s degree in electrical engineering and physics, earning a degree in 1995, then proceeded to complete his Ph.D. in computer science in 2007.

3. He has founded several companies

Serguei is brilliant when it comes to starting up new companies. He knew what it takes to get a business funded, established, and off-the-ground. Beloussov’s family is from the Soviet Union, but like Serguei, they relocated and changed their citizenship status. His dad moved to Princeton, New Jersey in 1997, then became American citizens. His mom and dad moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where they settled after his retirement in 2014. Serguei, on the other hand, decided to make his new home country Singapore.

8. Serguei earned money from an early age

Beloussov was somewhat of a child prodigy who had a natural aptitude for inventing things as well as making money from his creations. By the age of just ten years old, he was bringing in money from selling items that he had made by hand. He made an impressive inventory of toys including 3D cowboys, tin soldiers, and more. He also made sporting goods that he sold including fishing accessories, crossbows, bows, and slingshots. This was an impressive start to what would end up being an impressive career in business.

9. He spent summers of his youth working

Serguei was an enterprising young man who spent a lot of time working. He would go on geological expeditions throughout the summer when he was not in school He helped construction workers building houses and other structures, and he would help with the loading and unloading of trucks. He was an exceptional young man who knew the value of hard work and if there was a job to be done he was there willing to lend his hand to help out. He became involved in these activities because his mother and father spent their summers involved in a variety of geological projects and they took Serguei along with them. Beloussov is credited with the founding of more than two dozen different companies throughout the 19 years that he has been an entrepreneur. He serves on seven different companies in some kind of leadership capacity. As of now, he is the founder and CEO of Acronis, as well as the Senior Founding Partner of Runa Capital, the Executive Chairman & Chief Architect at Parallels. He is the founder and chairman of the board for Infratel, the Founding Partner of Quantum Wave Fund, the Founder and Chairman of the Board for Schaffhausen Institute of Technology, and the founder of Anturis.
