William Zeqiri is a jack of all trades, and it appears that he is a master in most of them. 1. He was at the University of Auckland
From 1999 to 2002, William was a student at the University of Auckland. While he was there, he studied Information Systems, eventually graduating with a degree. This would set him up for his first job as a software engineer. He mainly worked on a contractual basis. During his last two years in college, he worked as a contracted software engineer for many companies.
2. First jobs
Immediately after he finished college and worked as a contracted software engineer for numerous companies, he eventually founded his company, MacroWeb Limited. The company mainly dealt with web development and was also a hosting company. He was one of the founders of MacroWeb, which was based in Auckland, Australia. Moreover, once the company was up and running, he took the position of chief technology officer due to his background in creating and managing software for other companies. Also, starting the same time he founded MacroWeb, William was an Information Technology consultant for many of Australia’s biggest corporations. He worked for Air New Zealand, HRC, North Shore City, and Auckland hospital.
3. Starting Webcard and Dubai Holding
In March 2005, William Zeqiri founded Webcard. It was a loyalty program that made it possible to award loyalty points for shopping. He worked for the company for a year and ten months. After working there, he eventually moved to Dubai Holding, where he took up the vice president of engineering and held the position for two years.
4. Founding Design modern and Practical Templates
In October 2007, William founded Design Modern. This was an industrial design magazine that focused on designing modernistic projects. Additionally, it was also an e-commerce platform. He stayed as the Founder and CEO of Design Modern for four years and eleven months. Somewhat concurrently, from October 2008 to August 2012, he was the founder and CEO of Practical Templates. This online platform made it possible to sell project management templates, architecture templates, and system design templates.
5. He worked for SEHA
SEHA is an Abu Dhabi-based health services company. It is the largest integrated healthcare network company in the Middle East and prides itself in delivering world-class healthcare. It has partnered with some of the largest and most renowned healthcare providers globally, from the Cleveland Hospital to John Hopkins Medicine. William worked for SEHA as the corporate operations director from November 2012 to December 2016 for more than four years.
6. He worked for the Cleveland Clinic
The Cleveland Clinic is a non-profit, multispecialty academic medical center based in Cleveland, Ohio. It is world-renowned for its ability to integrate education and research with medical care. The organization has a rich history and has been around since 1921. William worked with the organization for three years in various capacities. He worked under the Director’s CIO office from December 2009 to November 2011 and then moved to work under the Director’s CEO office, from October 2011 to November 2012, for one year and two months.
7. He is an investor
William is a well-known investor in some of the best startups and invents in already established companies and businesses. He invested in Invygo, an app-based subscription service that offers customers a new and simpler way to get a car. He also invested in Zeffer Cider, an Australian beer, and Invivo Wines New Zealand. Zeqiri worked for Archipro.
