How Brittany O’Grady Achieved a Net Worth of $700,000

Brittany O’Grady is perhaps best known for getting her start as an actress when she was still a child. As a result of her hard work, Brittany O’Grady net worth now sits at $700,000. T

he actress has never announced her salary but all of her hard work has allowed her to amass a sizable net worth and she shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Let’s take a closer look at how she came to prominence and how she has been able to build such a varied career path.

Brittany O’Grady Upbringing and Family Life

O’Grady was born in 1996 and raised in the state of Virginia by her parents, Mike and Monique. After graduating from Washington Lee High School, she began her Hollywood journey in earnest.

Once she was able to obtain a theater scholarship at the prestigious Pepperdine University, she was off and running. She eventually received a degree in encore stage and studio, setting the stage (see what we did there?) for what was to come.

Brittany O’Grady College Life

While she was enrolled at Pepperdine, she became an active member of the school’s theater team. She was prominently involved in the school’s production of South Pacific and this is not the only area where her assistance became noticeable.

Brittany also made a name for herself at Pepperdine by contributing to the school’s public service announcements and campaigns.

Of course, this was not the start of her acting career, as she has been taking roles since she was all of four years old. Some children may have struggled to work on their acting careers while maintaining their studies, but O’Grady is a very unique talent.

In addition to remaining enrolled in school, she starred in a wide range of print ads and television commercials.

How Did Brittany O’Grady Acting Career Begin?

That’s not all, either. O’Grady was also given the chance to stretch her wings as a singer and dancer. All of the hard work that she put in paid off at the age of 18, as she was cast in the ABC sitcom Trophy Wife.

Her role was brief and she only appeared in one episode. From there, she landed another guest starring role on NBC’s Night Shift before getting a much larger break.

CW cast her in The Messengers, where she received her first recurring role. After an 11-episode run, she moved on and this is when the biggest break that she has received to date took place.

Brittany was cast in Fox’s Star, where she would take on her first leading role. She spent four years on Star, which served as a springboard to a number of other leading roles.

Brittany O’Grady Recent Television Roles

After Star, she was given the lead role on Apple+ TV’s Little Voice, which only lasted for one season. Her most recent main role just began earlier this year when she was cast in the Amazon Prime Video series The Consultant.

The first season is currently streaming and the show is already receiving a sizable amount of press because of the ambiguous ending that the showrunners decided upon.

It is easy to see a universe where the darkly satirical workplace thriller continues to find an audience and O’Grady’s star also rises as a result. In addition to the number of high-profile television roles she has now played, O’Grady has been making more of a name for herself in the world of feature films as well.

Brittany O’Grady Film Career

Her film career began in 2019, when she was cast alongside acting luminaries Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston in Above Suspicion. In the same year, she also played a prominent role in the well-received slasher film Black Christmas.

After spending a few years focusing on her many television roles, she will be returning to the silver screen this year in the highly anticipated dramatic comedy Sometimes I Think About Dying. O’Grady won the highly coveted role in Daisy Ridley’s secretly shot indie drama, which Ridley also produced.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week and was very well received by critics, setting up O’Grady to take on even juicier roles as her profile continues to rise.

This is not the only part of her career that has advanced considerably in recent years, though.

Brittany O’Grady Music Career

O’Grady has yet to release an album of her own but she has made a name for herself with her performances on Fox’s Star. The fact that she has worked alongside megastars like Queen Laitifah and Sara Bareilles has allowed stretching her musical wings even further. This is not lost on Brittany at all, as she has even taken the time to refer to Bareilles as a “musical genius”.

Brittany also got the opportunity to showcase her musical chops during her role on Little Voice, where she played an aspiring musician who was working a series of odd jobs as she tried her best to make it big. It was on this show that she met Bareilles and developed a kinship with the singer.

After blowing everyone away with the cast performances on Star, Little Voice allowed her to take things one step further. Little Voice was a semi-autobiographical story that was loosely based on the life of Bareilles, serving as a very unique opportunity for O’Grady. Sara wrote a number of original songs for the show and O’Grady relished having the chance to belt them out with such conviction.

Does O’Grady Have a Musical Future?

O’Grady calls Bess, the character that she played on Little Voice, as being the closest to her true self of all the roles that she has taken thus far. Brittany has not yet been able to explore a musical career in full but it seems like it is only a matter of time before she takes the plunge. There is one quote from the interview referenced above that says it all.

“Music was always something that I felt in my heart. I always felt my voice was an instrument and a gateway to self-expression that also helped me tell stories. I always looked up to actresses like Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Lena Horne, Rita Moreno, Diana Ross, Eartha Kitt, Julie Andrews, etc…

Oh, the list goes on and on. That would definitely be a dream for me. Being able to perform for others while also being able to incorporate my love for acting.

Definitely, a dream of mine to do movie musicals. Maybe an album! I am open to anything,” she said when asked whether she would like to go fully into music in the future.

There are not a lot of people who can do a Sara Bareilles song justice, so if O’Grady does decide to finally make her own album, we are sure that the anticipation will be quite high. O’Grady’s career has served as a reminder of the importance of being willing to remain adaptable and ready to explore a number of different options.

She’s played a variety of different characters and has been fortunate enough to expand her musical chops on multiple occasions. One thing is for sure: her star is sure to continue to shine brightly, no matter what path she decides upon.
