How Chris Evans Achieved a Net Worth of $50 Million

Chris Evans is an actor who is known for his work in both film and television. He began his career in 2000 in television before working on films and he is now best known for playing superhero roles. He is currently one of the most successful actors in the United States and has amassed an estimated personal net worth of $50 million. So, how did Chris Evans become so rich and successful?

Evans was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 13, 1981. After graduating from high school, he moved to New York City and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute. Whiles till taking acting classes, he soon began to land smaller roles. He made an appearance in the 1997 educational video ‘Biodiversity: Wild About Life!’ and shortly afterward, he modeled for a board game.

His career really took off in 200 when he began to appear in both film and television. His first television role was playing Cary Baston in ‘Opposite Sex’, in which he appeared for eight episodes. In the same year, he played Zach Lardner in one episode of ‘The Fugitive’. He continued to gain roles in single episodes of television series until 2008 but has not worked in television since that time. This is predominantly because he has focused on his career in the film industry, which he has found far more lucrative.

Although he was in the 2000 film ‘The Newcomers’, he first rose to prominence in 2001 when he played Judd in ‘Not Another Teen Movie’. This led to him landing more small roles in films, including ‘The Perfect Score’, ‘Cellular’, ‘Fierce People’, and ‘London’.

In 2005, Chris Evans was cast as the superhero Human Torch in ‘Fantastic Four’, a film adaptation of the comic book. This was his first venture into superhero films, for which he is now most famous. He reprised this role in the sequel ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’, which was released in 2007. In the same year, he also played Mace in ‘Sunshine’.

His career had now taken off and the offer of roles began to pour in for Evans. In 2008, he appeared in two films; ‘Street Kings’ and ‘The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond’. This was closely followed by the science-fiction film ‘Push’ in 2009 and then ‘The Losers’ and ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ in 2010.

He was equally successful in 2011 and 2012 as he appeared in five films over these two years. Most notably, he landed the role of Steve Rogers/ Captain America and played the role in the 2011 film ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ before reprising the role for the 2012 film ‘The Avengers’. Also, over this two-year period, Evans had roles in ‘Puncture’, ‘What’s Your Number’, and ‘The Iceman’.

Much of the following six years involved him reprising his role as Steve Rogers/ Captain America. These included the 2013 film ‘Thor: The Dark World’, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ in 2014, the 2015 film ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, ‘Ant-Man’ in 2015, the 2016 film ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in 2017, and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ in 2018.

Although playing the Captain America role has been the predominant focus of his career in recent years, he has also appeared in several other films since 2013. These have included ‘Snowpiercer’, ‘Before We Go’, ‘Playing It Cool’ and ‘Gifted’. Each of these films has contributed to his net worth of $50 million.

In 2018, Chris Evans decided to try a new venture and made his Broadway debut. He starred in ‘Lobby Hero’, which is a play by Kenneth Lonergan that was directed by Trip Cullman and opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre in March 2018.

It is likely that Chris Evans’ net worth will increase as he already has future work in the bag. In 2019, he will reprise the role of Steve Rogers/ Captain America for the film ‘Avengers: Endgame’. In the same year, he also has an undisclosed role in ‘Knives Out’. Another film in post-production is ‘The Red Sea Diving Resort, in which he plays Ari Levinson, an Israeli Mossad agent. The release date of this film has not yet been announced.

In his personal life, Chris Evans is unmarried. He is a fan of American football and owns a dog that he adopted from a shelter while filming ‘Gifted’.
