Gina Capitani and Roland Theodor Achilles are his parents. His father actually hails from Bluefields, Nicaragua originally. On his mother’s side, he is of Italian and Irish descent.
On his father’s side, he is of Nicaragua, English and Polish heritage. After graduating from Mandeville HIgh School and attending Louisiana State University for a stretch, Von went on to attend a number of other universities.
He also did stints at Loyola University, University of Arizona, College of Charleston and Santa Monica College before finally receiving an undergraduate degree in 2011.
He received his degree from the University of New Orleans at the age of 31 but by then, he was already firmly entrenched in the world of entertainment.

Theo Von was first introduced to the world at large back when he was all of 19 years old. As a star of MTV’s Road Rules: Maximum Velocity Tour, he was able to parlay his life as a Louisiana State University student into something far more interesting.

He wasted no time looking back from there. From there, he became an MTV mainstay, making appearances in a wide range of shows for the channel.

His Netflix follow-up special, Regular People, was released in 2021. Like many other working comedians, Von has also established himself as a memorable name in the world of podcasts.
The Comedy Sideshow showed how far ahead of the curve he was, as it came to prominence in 2011 before giving way to his stint on Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss.
The latter podcast ran from 2015 to 2018 and he began his role on Last Weekend during this time. After starting in 2016, Last Weekend is still creating new episodes to this day. King and The Sting (and Wing) with Brendan Schaub ran from 2018 to 2022.
