Theo Von's Early Life

Theo had a very interesting childhood, as his father was already 70 years old when he was born He was born back in 1980, in Covington, Louisiana.

He received his degree from the University of New Orleans at the age of 31 but by then, he was already firmly entrenched in the world of entertainment.

Theo Von's MTV Stint

As with most, once he was bitten by the television bug, he knew exactly what he wanted to do with the rest of his life.

He wasted no time looking back from there. From there, he became an MTV mainstay, making appearances in a wide range of shows for the channel.

In addition to his appearances on Road Rules: Maximum Velocity Tour, he was also seen on The Challenge, Battle of the Seasons, The Gauntlet, Battle of the Sexes II and Fresh Meat.

In 2008, he made his first appearance on their network, becoming a member of the Reality Bites Back show.

Von had an impressive showing, beating out a number of other contestants who have since become major stars in their own right. Amy Schumer, Bert Kreischer, and Tiffany Haddish are just a few of the names that he was able to beat out.

The Arsenio Hall Show, Hello Ross, Chelsea Lately, Watch What Happens Live, @Midnight and This is Not Happening are just a few of the shows that lent their stage to Von.

He was not content to stop there, either. Finally, in 2016, Netflix signed a deal with Von, giving him the chance to release his very first hour-long special. No Offense debuted and Von continued building his name from there. 30lb Bag of Hamster Bones came out the year after and topped the iTunes Comedy Album charts, even hitting the top 5 on the Billboard Top 200.
