Where to Get The Best Chinese Food in Sacramento

Sacramento

It doesn’t matter where you live, it’s important to be able to get the type of food that you’re craving when you want it most. If you live in or near Sacramento, California and you’re in the mood for Chinese food, you’re fortunate because you have a lot of options at your disposal. As a matter of fact, some of the best Chinese food on the entire West Coast can be found in the city. If you’re not convinced, then perhaps it’s time to take a closer look at some of the best Chinese food restaurants in Sacramento. There are five of them listed below. As a matter of personal preference, they’re listed from number five to number one. However, everyone has their own favorite for personal reasons. The one that you like the best may not be the one that landed in the number one spot on this particular list, but the truth is, it really doesn’t matter. If you decide to eat at any of the restaurants on this list, you can’t really go wrong.

5. Fortune Chinese Food Take-Out (2805 12th Ave)

This is a small building, so there’s not a lot of seating. Typically, people get their food at the counter in take out boxes and from there, you can take it to your home, the park or wherever suits you. They have traditional Chinese food, a menu with several selections and they couldn’t be more affordable. They also have really good promotions, so if you catch them at just the right time you can get your food for just a few dollars. If you’ve never been there, you really don’t know what you’re missing because this is a place that you’ll want to come back to again and again. They’re not open on Mondays, so if you plan on going you’ll have to schedule your trip for a different day. That being said, there is no doubt that when you finally do give them a try, you’ll be glad you did.

4. Shanghai Garden Restaurant (800 Alhambra Blvd #4436)

They have a lot of different menu items from which to choose, all of them from a traditional Chinese menu. It’s a casual restaurant so you can always stop in whenever the notion strikes and you know that you’re going to get good food in an enjoyable environment. Some people say that this is the best restaurant in the entire town of Sacramento, but it almost always makes the top five. You can dine in or get your food delivered. Of course, you can always do take-out. They also deliver in the parking lot directly to your car. They’ll also deliver to your house if you live nearby without charging you a delivery fee.

3. Jen Kitchen Chinese Restaurant (2362 Fruitridge Rd)

If you want a wide selection of different Chinese food menu items without paying an arm and a leg for them, then this is definitely the place to be. More importantly, their food is so good that it will easily become a fan favorite with you. They have both traditional and more modern Chinese food options. They also have a number of vegetarian options available to you so there really is something for the entire family. Like many of the restaurants in the area, you can pick up take-out directly from the dining room, eat in or have your food delivered. Another thing that really sets this particular restaurant apart is how friendly the staff are. It isn’t that they’re unfriendly in the other locations, only that they go out of their way to make sure that all of their customers are completely happy here. In a world where it seems like people care less and less about one another, that type of individualized service is more important than it’s ever been before.

2. Happy Takeout (3201 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd)

It’s easy to see why this particular restaurant sits at number two on the list. The food is absolutely phenomenal and they have some of the best lunch deals in the entire city. It’s also affordable. That’s something that’s becoming more and more difficult to find, so if you’re able to find high quality food without spending a fortune in the process, you know you’re doing something right. This is a simple restaurant that doesn’t allow dine-in due to limited space, but you definitely won’t be sorry when you get take-out there. They also have generous portions and you can expect to find just about anything on the menu that you could find at any popular Chinese restaurant. It’s one worth checking out and it’s one that you’ll undoubtedly come back to again and again.

1. Sunrise Chinese Restaurant (4689 Mack Rd)

Here you have it, one of the restaurants that is widely regarded as the best in the entire city. They don’t do delivery, but you can certainly get your items to go or you can eat in the spacious and lovely dining room that has just the perfect atmosphere. Their portions are extremely generous and they have all kinds of Chinese food menu items, including vegetarian options. Their prices are reasonable and their staff is friendly, giving you every reason to give them a try. Once you do, you’ll definitely be coming back for more.
