10 Things You Didn’t Know about Hibbett Sports

Hibbett Sports has more than 1100 brick and mortar stores to choose from, primarily concentrated in the southern and southeastern parts of the country. You can also check out their online stores at hibbett.com. As you read the list of items, consider whether all the advantages can be found at your current sports store.

1. Their 60 day return policy is one of the best available.

Ask yourself how many stores give you two months to return an unwanted item. Hibbett Sports does, and while there are the expected conditions, none of them are unreasonable. For example, if you order a customized item you won’t be getting your money back. Or if you bought a pair of shoes and wore them out in the rain, there is no opportunity for a refund. But a number of their products can be returned to one of their stores even if you bought them online at hibbett.com. This is a better option than Amazon because you won’t run into any refund limits and you can buy your athletic wear knowing just going to a brick and mortar Hibbett store will get you the right style and size you were looking for.

2. Hibbett University

Hibbett University is the place you go to discover sports, not just shop for sports stuff. You can read about the latest shoes the pros of your favorite sport are wearing, and discover if or when they will be coming to a Hibbett near you. The university shows the commitment to sports that has defined Hibbett throughout the years.

3. Their Launch Calendar.

There is no need to scurry around searching the Internet to find out when the most recent shoe releases will launch. Hibbett’s Launch Calendar takes care of all of that for you. Whether it is Adidas, Nike, New Balance; preschool or adult shoes, you can find out weeks in advance when the shoe you have been waiting for will actually be in stock.

4. Their business is about more than just selling you a pair of athletic shoes.

Their website has an entire section on taking care of your shoes and other purchases, even if you know zero about it. They want you to take care of your shoes to keep them in the best condition possible, as long as possible. Connected with their return policy, it will be extremely hard to find a sports store that will actually act in your long term best interests when it comes to sports attire.

5. Their gift cards are the perfect choice for birthdays and Christmas giving.

What makes the Hibbett’s gift card so special? If you like giving a gift card that can’t be traded in for cash, applies any remaining balance back to the gift card (no cash back), and will be used at a store you can trust, Hibbett’s is the place to go.

6. They have fan gear for all the major sports teams.

MLS soccer is included in the list of major sports leagues, and the NCAA too. It’s almost impossible not to find your favorite team’s clothing at Hibbett’s (unless everyone finds out and they run out of stock). There is assorted “special interest” attire, including military and even seasonal Halloween costumes.

7. Hunters and fishers are included as part of the sports industry.

While some sports stores consider hunting and fishing to be recreational, Hibbett’s knows better. That is why hunting and fishing must-haves are included in all of their stores. If you are looking for a fishing hat, t-shirt, or shorts, stop and shop and Hibbet’s to check out the selection.

8. There is a selection of miscellaneous games.

There are people who prefer less advertised sports, such as ping pong or Frisbee throwing. Dog owners are especially aware of the need to exercise their furry friends outside. Hibbett’s has you covered with a few select items that will have you engaging is the less popular but still important sports activities.

9. Top flight customer service options.

With everything that has been said about Hibbett Sports, it takes a quality customer service team to properly execute all the promises and responsibilities to their customers. They have a 7 day a week phone contact option, with the ability to chat with an agent, email, or simply texting them.

10. A solid two tiered store rewards program.

No store would be complete without a rewards program. Hibbett doesn’t disappoint with its offering of a starter MVP program that allows you to accumulate points for in-store discounts and purchases. Once you reach 200 points you advance to the VIP program, which triples your rewards points and gives you other enhanced benefits.
