2. Crane

Although this was once a harbour, this was in times gone by and it is now simply a wonderful beach. Lining the beach are a number of pretty and old resorts, including The Crane Beach Hotel. Crane Beach was once named in the top ten beaches in the world by a publication called ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous’. Tourist like to come to this beach to relax in the gorgeous surroundings. 3. Bottom Bay

Bottom Bay is located close to Sam Lord’s Castle, which is a sprawling mansion. It lies at the base of jagged cliffs that provide an interesting backdrop to the sand beach below. This is a great place for enjoying a picnic with the family or taking a walk to admire the coconut palms that line the beach. However, it is not a good place for swimming as there is a strong undercurrent along this part of the coast. 4. Bathsheba

The verb that best describes this particular stretch of beach is picturesque. Bathsheba is an East Coast fishing village that is known as the surfing capital of Barbados. Although it is only a small village, the beach is a hive of activity. The ‘Soup Bowl’ is the nickname for the perfect surfing spot that is just off this beach, so it is a huge attraction for surfing enthusiasts. However, you do not have to be a fan of surfing to want to spend time there as the breath-taking scenery is also a huge attraction of this beach. 5. Accra

This beach is one of the most popular along the coast of Barbados and it is also known as Rockley Beach. This is a great beach to choose if you want to try some of the fun watersports. Activities available on this beach include boogie boarding, sunfish sailing, windsurfing, body surfing, and snorkeling. There are also lots of stalls along the beach selling locally produced jewelry and clothing, so you can wander between the stalls after soaking up the sun on the beach.
