10 Things You Didn’t Know about Yannis Niebelschuetz

Yannis Niebelschuetz is the co-founder and director of digital coaching platform Coachhub. That sounds interesting enough, in and of itself. However, the real story involving the individual behind the company is actually far more interesting than anything else you’re likely to read. It probably won’t surprise you that this is the case, as there’s usually a reason that someone has an interesting or unique job. More often than not, it has a lot to do with their personality as well as things that they experienced growing up. If you’re curious, here are 10 things about Yannis that you might not know, but will probably be glad that you read about by the time you’re finished with this article.

1. He’s all about giving everyone an equal chance

He’s the first to admit that he came up against more than his fair share of adversity growing up and because of that, he’s all about making sure that everyone has an equal chance and opportunity, regardless of outside circumstances. As a direct result, he works tirelessly to make sure that people across the board have an opportunity to put themselves in a position where they can succeed.

2. He believes anyone can become better by coaching others

Obviously, he believes that effectively coaching others is crucial. It’s important to remember, you’re not talking about coaching someone on a sports team here. It’s all about helping connect people with the right coaches in business so that they are able to do their very best work. Often, employees simply need a bit of guidance that may not always be provided in a traditional group setting. Finding the right business coach can make all the difference between having an employee who is happy and productive and one who is essentially on their way out.

3. He knows how important it is to keep challenging oneself

He came up with this idea because he likes to challenge himself. He’s always quick to point out that when any person stops being challenged, either through their work or some other type of endeavor, everything starts to grow stagnant. It’s easy to rest on one’s laurels and is also easy to get into a pattern where you don’t really get outside of your comfort zone. He believes that in order to grow, you must avoid the first and embrace the second, no matter how uncomfortable things might become.

4. He wants to break down the barriers that stop people from achieving their dreams

He’s never been a fan of barriers that are related to nationality, skin color, language, gender or anything else. Instead, he believes that every person has something to offer and that because every individual can bring something to the table, their presence should be valued. He also believes that individuals would do well for themselves if they could start looking at each person as a valued human being and begin to see the similarities as opposed to only seeing the differences between themselves and someone else.

5. He knows how to keep employees engaged

Largely because of the ideas that have already been mentioned, he’s capable of keeping his own employees engaged better than most. That’s exactly why he’s capable of providing a business that centers around business coaching. He knows how to make employees happy and what needs to be done in order to ensure that they remain engaged and focused on the task at hand.

6. He doesn’t mind telling his own story to inspire others

Some entrepreneurs don’t really want to talk about their own journey, but that’s never been a problem for him. As far as he’s concerned, he’s more than happy to talk about things if it will inspire others to stop thinking about doing something different and actually begin working to get to that point.

7. He doesn’t look at things in a traditional manner

It’s definitely safe to say that he doesn’t exactly look at things in a traditional manner, especially when it comes to the way he looks at employee relationships with their supervisors. Truth be told, he thinks that looking at things in a more traditional manner is one of the major problems that people have in business. Again, it’s all about growth. Insisting on looking at things in a traditional sense only means that one refuses to look at anything through more modern eyes and that means that they are essentially locked into doing things the same way they’ve always been done, whether it works for them or not.

8. He knows you have to put people before business

As far as he’s concerned, success in business really comes down to one thing. You have to put people before profits. Everyone is in business to make money, that is what makes the world go round. That being said, everything grinds to a halt if the people doing the work are so unhappy that more of them are going out the door as opposed to coming in or they can’t think of anything but how much longer they have to be at work whenever they are there. As a result, the only way to truly be successful is to have happy people working for you. Only then will they go the extra mile to make sure that everyone succeeds collectively.

9. He thinks that many European countries are more open-minded

One of the biggest reasons that he decided to base his business in Berlin is because he believes that most European countries are more open-minded to this type of thing than other locations, such as the United States. As a result, he chose to base his business there because he felt like it would be easier to create a successful endeavor in that region.

10. He wants to bridge the gap between employees and their bosses

One of the main goals that he has is to help bridge the gap between employees and their bosses. As a matter of fact, it’s why he created this particular business of his in the first place. He’s been in a situation where he worked for someone who undervalued their employees and he wants to make sure that it doesn’t happen to anyone else.
