20. 2022 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta
Value: $2.2 million
Ferrari’s LaFerrari Aperta is a rare Italian sportscar with just 210 examples ever made, according to Luxe Digital. 190 of the models were sold to the public, but nine of them were reserved for a special event at the 70th celebration of Ferrari’s anniversary.
That left one brand new LaFerrari Aaperta, undriven, in pristine condition. It was the last of the exclusive models to sell at an auction for $2.2 million. The sole untouched LaFerrari Aperta is the prancing horse’s champion as the 20th most expensive car in the world as of 2022.
19. 2022 Aston Martin Vulcan
Value: $2.3 million
The Aston Martin Vulcan is a superstar in the racing world. It’s a hard-core racing machine built specifically for track racing. It’s in the hypercar class with mind-boggling power and speed.
You won’t see one on the road because it’s illegal to take them out on a public thoroughfare. It’s a rare vehicle that is one of just 24 in its production run ever made by the British manufacturer.
The 7.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine generates 831 horsepower with 575 lb-ft of torque, mated with a 6-speed sequential transmission, designed to tear up the track. Its top speed is 225 mph with acceleration from zero to 60 mph in 3 seconds flat.
18. 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4

Lamborghini’s 2022 Countach LPI-800-4 made its debut in 2021 at its official unveiling in celebration of the 50th anniversary of its predecessor. It’s among the most expensive models for 2022 from the distinguished Italian automaker Lamborghini.
The hybrid hypercar is an electrified model with a futuristic aesthetic in step with the times.

17. 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie

Aston Martin of Palm Beach confirms that the 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie is a powerful machine equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine with an additional electric motor for hybridization. It cranks a total of 1,160 horsepower with 663 lb-ft of torque.
The top speed is 250 miles per hour and the acceleration statistics prove it can run from zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, beating the powerful racer, the Vulcan in a straight short run. The street models are likely to see governance lowering their top speed to 205 mph.
The engine is paired with a 7-speed sequential automatic tranny. Unlike the Vulcan, this version is a hypercar that is street legal. Aston Martin plans to produce 150 of them for distribution throughout the world at a price tag starting at $2.6 million. Bespoke models may go higher.
16. 2022 Mercedes AMG One
Value: $2.7 million
Mercedes-Benz joins Aston Martin in the delivery of a street-legal hypercar for 2022 with its AMG one. The One stands for its Formula One engine. Enough said? It’s been in the works for a few years and MB has finally produced a roadworthy hypercar with the power of a Formula One racer.
The hybrid drivetrain features a 1.6-liter Vg hybrid engine with four electric motors to produce 1,000 horsepower in a plug-in hybrid that moves from zero to 120 mph in 6 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph. Motor One gives that number an increase of 2 mph for the 2023 version on the horizon.
15. 2022 Koenigsegg Jesko

Swedish automaker Koenigsegg’s Jesko launches the top 15 most expensive cars for 2022 with the Jesko. It’s a hypercar that takes its place among the “fastest supercars in the world,” with Motor One confirming a top speed of 330 mph.
It’s fitted with a powerful boosted V8 engine that generates1,280 hp and 1,600 horsepower on E85 fuel. The $3 million price tag is just for starters. The price goes up with add-ons.
14. 2022 Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio

11. W Motors Lykan Hypersport

The Lykan HyperSport is among the rarest hypercars in the world today. What sets it apart is its exclusivity. The list of features is mind-blowing. Throttlebias reports the UAE-based company produced just seven of them.

Bugatti’s Chiron Super Sport 300+ is a unique and exclusive model, built only for a few customers throughout the world, who can afford one of the most exquisite automobiles on the planet.

However, only 40 Divos will be made, and the model is sold out.

Bugatti upped the ante with another sibling in its 2022 collection. The Centodieci is the second most expensive car in its lineage for 2022. What makes it so grand?
Christiano Ronaldo, a football star, could answer that question as he is the buyer who purchased the last available car of the exclusive and strictly limited run of 10 in production.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that the vehicle features a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with a top speed of 150 mph. However, it’s still in production, but the whereabouts of the original are currently unknown.
4. 2017 Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta

Pagani’s Zonda HP Barchetta is the automaker’s dream car since its inception. It’s a special edition that has the aesthetic of a small boat. Pagani stated the body of carbon fiber to keep it light and fast.

2. Rolls-Royce Boat Tail

Rolls-Royce is a brand that is synonymous with class and dignity. Its Boat Tail model is the second most expensive car in the world for 2022. The original version dropped in 1932, and the modern version for 2022 features a modern update incorporating J-Class yacht elements with a V12 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged engine.
2 of 3 Boat Tails have launched in 2021, and 2022 with a third and final production not yet announced. However, it’s a coach-built version based on the Wraith platform with suicide doors, more closely related to the eighth-generation Phantom.

The most expensive car in the world for 2022 is the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. This Ferrari is the second consecutive year that it’s taken the honors. Nothing comes close to the $70 million value of this vehicle.
It’s the winner of the 1964 Tour de France and one of 36 ever created from 1962 to 1963. The car has historical significance as a participant in the Le Man’s race, placed on the podium. For its time, the top speed of 174 mph was phenomenal.
It’s the most valuable car in the world for now, and we don’t have any indication that there’s a challenger on the horizon. However, Ralph Lauren is the fortunate owner of this gem.
