The Five Best Harley Davidson Models from 2010-Present

It’s already been proven time and again that when it comes to motorcycles, Harley-Davidson is basically the king of the road. There are very few people that are in the know who would argue about this and most accept it as a fact. One of the things that makes Harley-Davidson so unique is that they’ve been around for a very long time, producing bikes for decades. In addition, they’re constantly improving on their product. As a matter of fact, they’ve done a number of things differently in the last eight to ten years alone. If you’re interested in learning more about some of the later models of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, read through this list of the five best motorcycles that have been produced since 2010.

2010 Harley-Davidson FLHR Road King

Just as the name implies, this was a bike that was designed to be on the road more often than not. With this bike, Harley-Davidson completely ditched the idea that their bikes weren’t designed for comfort. It will forever go down in history as the bike that change the opinion of a lot of Harley fans, as the manufacturer had always been considered as a top producer of “short distance” motorcycles. Most people believed that Harleys simply weren’t comfortable enough to ride across the country. Harley-Davidson was aware of this outlook among its customer base and decided to do something about it. This bike was the end result.

2013 Harley-Davidson FLTR Road Glide

This bike was designed to serve as something of an update to the earlier Road King. Just like its predecessor, it was also designed for cross country comfort but it didn’t give up a single thing when it came to performance. It did, however, come with extra padding on the seat and a couple of extra saddlebags to make traveling long distances easier.

2015 Harley-Davidson FLHT Electra Glide

This motorcycle had all kinds of optional features. The company produced it in a classic model and as a more updated version so customers could get whatever they were looking for. In addition, it offered a fuel injected engine, making it both more reliable and more powerful.

2012 Harley-Davidson FLHX Street Glide

As it turned out, some customers loved the Electra Glide and others felt like it was way over the top. Harley-Davidson has always been known as a company that listens to its customers and this case was certainly no different. As the result of direct feedback from customers, they began producing the Street Glide, which was essentially the same bike is the Electra Glide, only all of the bells and whistles were taken away. This stripped the bike down to the bare essentials that kept the performance the same. That’s exactly what many customers were looking for and the bike became an almost instant sensation.

2016 Harley-Davidson Switchback FLD

This particular motorcycle remains one of the most unique models ever produced by the company. Once again, it had everything to do with the company’s reputation of not producing quality touring bikes. They finally decided to answer this question once and for all and create a bike that would be perfect for riding all the way across the country or just taking a short trip into the next town. This bike featured detachable saddlebags, along with a windshield that could be removed in its entirety so that the rider could customize it to fit whatever they wanted it to do. It’s definitely one of the more unique concepts among any motorcycle manufacturer and it was also a first for Harley-Davidson.

One of the things that makes this company special is that it has produced so many motorcycles over the years. While these are definitely five of the best and most interesting models that have been produced in the most recent decade, they’re certainly not the only ones worth mentioning. As a matter of fact, there are several motorcycles that have been produced by Harley-Davidson that are a cut above virtually everything else that’s ever been produced. This is true, whether you’re talking about a motorcycle that the company made back in the 1940s or one that was just made last week. That’s largely because the company started out with high-quality designs and manufacturing processes and they’ve held themselves to those same standards over all these years.
